Origin to EA App transition - Fifa 16 disappeared

After the forced migration from Origin to the EA app my FIFA 16 also crashes during initial bootup. I have tried running in offline mode and all of the fixes guys put forth. I created an EA support ticket but have not heard anything back. Has anyone found a work around to this issue?

The crash takes place right after hitting play on the config.exe. The FIFA splash screen opens with the loading bars and then it dies.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It may be due to a number of things not necessarily related to EA app. For one, is it possible for you to do a clean installation of FIFA 16, like downloading it all over again through EA App?

Try deleting your fifasetup.ini in Documents/FIFA16 if you have one (back it up if you want before).

Thanks for the ideas fellas. This is what I have tried and the issue remains, very frustrating.

Troubleshooting completed:

1. Tried booting FIFA 16 in offline mode using EA app
2. Deleted FIFA folder in documents all together and tried deleting only fifasetup.ini in documents/FIFA 16
3. Uninstalled and re-installed both the EA app and FIFA 16 without anti-virus or firewall active
4. Cleared EA app cache
5. Repaired FIFA 16 using EA app

The game continues to crash. Any continued support would be greatly appreciated.

It appears that the problem is only with FIFA 16. Driving me crazy! I feel like I have tried everything.

I finally fixed the issue. I had an FIFA 16 install in my old origin games folder. I'm not sure if that was the issue but after deleting the origin game, running a cleanup of the registry, and re-installing both the EA app and FIFA 16, I finally got it to work.

Sorry guys, can you give me some advice on the problem I have with FIFA 16 with the EA app... basically when I start it it tells me that the game is already running but it doesn't start... h windows 11 thank you very much

It happened to me sometimes, but it was enough to close FIFA 16, to close EA app and sometimes to restart the computer to work fine. In task manager you may find FIFA 16 is running. I guess you must have tried all that?

Yes but the game doesn't start... I don't understand why... also because I tried to start FIFA 13 without problems

Guys, I tried to uninstall the app...then I reinstalled it...I downloaded FIFA 16...nothing to do, the message always appears: FIFA 16 is already running...but how is this possible? ? I also installed FIFA 13 and it starts without Could this message have anything to do with it?
