Origin to EA App transition - Fifa 16 disappeared

first of all let me thank you again for the time that you all took trying to help...i encounter the problem when the transition to the app became mandatory and after that the game stopped launching...i started to troubleshoot calmly and orderly (as i wanted to find the cause and might help others..) but then i got frustrated and lost track of what i was doing trying to implement multiple solutions at one go...the result: the game is now running but i have no clue what was the move that did it so unfortunately i ain't got something solid to propose as a guide...the good thing is that there isn't anyone else with the problem that i had.

My problem is that FIFA 16 is launched from a shortcut on the desktop, and there is no game in the EA app library

Good morning. how do i solve it? Patched Fifa16Demo doesn't work since you can't use origin

I am currently experiencing the same problem than you. It was working perfectly and since yesterday, out of nowhere (no update of the system or drivers) it doesn't start. The fifaconfig.exe can't open. I see an EA app window poping up briefly in task manager, then closing. I have tried several thing like, clear cache, deinstall the game and redownload but nothing, update windows redistributable. It won't start. So furstrating

EDIT: wait I just deleted the FIFA16 folder inside the documents and now it shows up and launch.

recently in past 2 months ive been installing the game both on EA app (my friend pc) and on Origin (my PC), no problem at all, so i transition for about a month to this EA app, and its works fine

but today, out of nowhere, i cant play my FIFA, and when i go check the library, its not even there anymore
wtf EA, c'mon i own that game in legal way

Hi, I need help.
Installed FIFA 16 and FIFA 16 DEMO.
I renamed the folders to something else.
Installed Origin which still doesn't work because it wants EA APP update.
Open the EA APP, disconnect the ethernet cable from the computer, and the game continues to launch EA APP and gives an error.
Also deleted the FIFA folder from "My Documents".
I've been struggling with this for several hours now.
Do you have any other suggestions?

You wrote in previous comments to turn the game on offline.
On the EA APP, I also clicked "offline mode", but it also did nothing.

You cannot. fifa16.exe has a DRM that runs EA App to verify your ownership before you open the game.
If you own FIFA 16 Demo, use the legacy Origin client to run your game. You won't have much luck with EA App.

I tried this, I installed an older version of Origin and running FIFA DEMO, Origin still wants to upgrade to EA APP. I also don't have a local.xml file in the origin folder, and there were some ways with this file to get around EA App.

No need to delete. But rename your Origin folder with some other name (Origin bis for instance), so that your computer only recognizes EA App.

After the forced migration from Origin to the EA app my FIFA 16 also crashes during initial bootup. I have tried running in offline mode and all of the fixes guys put forth. I created an EA support ticket but have not heard anything back. Has anyone found a work around to this issue?

The crash takes place right after hitting play on the config.exe. The FIFA splash screen opens with the loading bars and then it dies.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
