No kidding, Maniche and Valente have always been an integral part of the NT under Scolari, and he's given a fair chance to Postiga even when he didn't deserve it, so I don't know how not calling them up because of injury or poor current form is somehow a shot against Porto!? :rolleyes:

Is seeing a couple more Benfica players on the NT than usual really so irritating that some people can't think reasonably?? :o

btw, I sincerely hope Quaresma never makes it to the NT again. Not for clubist reasons because when it comes to the NT, I don't beleive their are clubs, only players.... but because his selfish attitude and on-field laziness.

I don't have nothing against the Benfica Players in the NT.
But Fernando Meira?!?!?
He is playing so bad @ the moment...and Pauleta? I think it is the biggest flop of our NT...he just score against Luxembourg or Lichtenstein... :rolleyes:

And for Rogerio Matias he could call Ricardo Costa! He is one of the best portuguese Players that Porto have @ the moment!
And Postiga isn't playing @ porto, and he didn't call him because this.

It's just a friendly...let us wait and see what will happen...but one thing is certain: "UM FRANGINHO!" by Ricardo :mrpimp: (H)

you know, that's exactly what I worry about before every single NT game! :( It's pretty sad to have a keeper on your national team that inspires absolutly no confidence. I keep thinking that if it wasn't for Carvalho & Andrade, we'd suffer like 3 goals every single game guarenteed...

I sorta agree with you about Pauleta too, I don't think he's ever been a flop, but he is starting to be a bit of a vaca segrada on this team..

Well it's just a friendly so it's no big deal. I hope Viana performs well, though. If he can score one like he did against Benfica, Scolari will probably keep him on the team.

About Quaresma. What has to be done to get him in check? :kader: He has so much potential! He needs someone like Mourinho or Sir Alex Ferguson to get him straight in the head.

1st: Ricardo Costa is good, but not AA material... then again, neither is Rogerio Matias... but since Ferreira will be playing left, that's good... He should have called Jorge Ribeiro!

2nd: Please understand:

PAULETA IS PORTUGAL'S BEST STRIKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and if not mistaken he scored in every single match of the Qualifiers so far, if not, he only didn't in 1...

Indeed. I dare to say that he's one of the very few players from Benfica I'd like to see in Porto :p
He's a real talent and his call up o the NT is more than desearved.

i wouldn't say he's like Davids, believe his not as technical with his feet like Davids, but he as other qualities similar to his, like his fighting spirit, postioning is better than davids. He's quick on the ball, great passing, and he can shoot the ball pretty hard to. Great player.

Ever since his first game i knew that Benfica had a jem in this guy. He's benfica's future, not that little fag, Joao Pereira.

I've never said that Postiga must be in the NT for this friendly!
I've said that Postiga isn't playing @ Porto and because of this Scolari don't call him...
