Erivan is by far the most ridiculous left-fullback the portuguese football as ever seen... and yes he was a starter in 2000/2001 when we were champions which makes that trophy waaaaaaay more valious! (kinda like Arsenal winning 44 matches in a row with Lehman on goal...)...ok, exception for that match Erivan made against Celtic, in Glasgow, playing midfielder, which, to every football fan's disbelief...including Boavista's supporters... he was MoM

I pray every day that I wake up and Eder has left Boavista and William retired (although I just love William like every BFC'er... we just don't want him in goal for obvious reasons...)

I've allways dispised JVP... I still don't like him... But obviously I hope he plays great this season

I'VE ALLWAYS, ALLWAYS, ALLWAYS considered ridicilous people saying Nuno Gomes (ex-boavista) is a better choice than Pauleta for the NT

I so hate Turra at this moment...

My point is...

I defend the ex-Boavista players that I actually feel like deserve to be defended... The ones that actually were quite important in our club and can be quite important in other clubs...

And note: I believe, 'till now, I only defended Ricardo and Litos...

About Petit I liked him a lot when he played for us, and I still like him, and I definetly not hate him... or Nuno Gomes... actually I pitty Gomes

Maybe Im a total idiot, but Im really psyched about the seleccao for the coming world cup. I really think we'll do well! Our team is a lot more balanced now than it was in the 96-98-00-02 periods.

At the moment, I think Portugal, Czech and Italy are the best Europe has to offer. Brazil remains the creme de la creme though.

I think the two main favourites for 06 will be Argentina and Brazil unless major talents in other nations appear in the next 2 years which is unlikely

Quim (Benfica) - he calls up Benfica's bench-warmer instead of Moreira. Not only Quim is a frangueiro who can't pick up a cross to save his own life, he lacks competitive rythm - a crucial detail for every player, especially a goalkeeper.

Defenders:
Caneira (Valencia) - also lacks match practice.

Jorge Ribeiro (Gil Vicente) - I know this guy ever since he came to Varzim. He built a bad reputation in Póvoa for contesting his coach decisions constantly and causing all sorts of trouble. He's bad karma and should stay away from any team trying to built a good union among its players.

Midfielders:
Boa Morte (Fulham) - doesn't Scolari watch Portugal's games?

Forwards:
Postiga (Porto) - we already dubbed him 'the pinball man' and 'chest of steel'. His poor first-touch is mighty impressive: the kid can't simply hold on to a pass - the ball hits his body and then flies 2 meters away from him...
Needs to start working after-hours for real, if he wants to be a top striker.

I think Bruno Basto is a good option to LB. For striker position we don't have many options so he called Postiga and Nuno Gomes, both clearly out of form. we don't have other options, maybe Moreira of Hamburg

What have Ricardo Rocha to do more to deserve a freaking call up to the NT? sorry i being repetitive but it's a great injustice. Caneira isn't a starter in Valencia so why him and not Rocha? It's understandable...

Well, I can't disagree with you there: Rocha isn't a flashy player but he gets the job done. Most importantly, he has actually PLAYED his share of games this season, unlike Caneira...

I like Caneira a lot, don't know if he's playing to much in Valencia, but i think he deserve a place in the NT...

Altough Ricardo Rocha is great too, and maybe he deserve a place in there... but who will Scolari take off? Caneira?...

Well, Caneira or Rocha are great to me, so i'll be happy to see any of them...

As for the keeper i think he should call Moreira that is doing a great job in Benfica, but.. well, let's wait and see, maybe he will call him in a near future

who will Scolari pick to the LB? Maybe he's thinking in use Caneira on that position or give to Ribeiro a place in the line up. It will be funny see the brothers in the line up

I like this line-up a lot... There's only one player that still worrying me a lot... Ricardo... Moreira should be the starter IMO, not because he's a Benfica player... just because he's the best Portuguese goalkeeper atm... And when the ball is near of Ricardo i start shaking... specially in corners and in free-kicks!
