I've been reading a lot about Chelsea going for Kaka recently, and it's set me thinking.
Do you think United should try and get him first? If Kaka goes to Chelsea I think it would be a frightening prospect, but at the same time if he came to us he would be an amazing addition. what press does is that they are desperately trying to find any kind of connections on which they can just speculate, i could find you even more reasons for any other player in the world to come to any club.
For example when Messi wasn't allowed to play in Beijing they could have easily wrote that he's unsatisfied and that he's looking to threaten Barcelona with leaving, and that United are monitoring the situation in case Ronaldo leaves for Real Madrid.
They are using every chance to create a story that sells their papers or raises their website visits, that doesn't make it true. I mean what kind of idiotic stories where told this summer, did you then believe that Ribery would leave Bayern after just one year to come to a similarly strong club like Liverpool?

bad idea...plus as already mentioned, he's not gonna leave Milan.
I hope he stays at Milan. BUT if he were ever to leave I'd want it to be for United and no-one else. The thing you have to remember when considering Chelsea is that they can spend silly money at the drop of a hat while Abramovich is pulling their strings.
Plus I guess I'm a bit edgy that everyone seems to be recruiting and we're not - even in the midst of an injury crisis. Still, Ando and Tevez back for tomorrow night, Nani has one more game to sit out and Owen and Park are nearing fitness so we should be okay. I'll admit I would be a lot happier if we got another striker though and I believe that long term, we must be preparing for life without Cristiano.
As long as James doesn't do his usual "Brad Friedel" performance tomorrow I think with Carlos and Wayne up front we should have the firepower to sink Pompey.
