hi people , quick poll , who do u think is better among the two, frank lampard for chelsea and steven gerrard for liverpool ; (C) we know both of them are pivotal for their clubs , and also both of them cant play in the same position for england , so which among the two is your favourite , and why.

Used to be Lampard, but his days are fast running out and his performances have nosedived now Ballack has arrived, so I would say that it is now Steven Gerrard. Lampard is no longer a cert for the Chelsea starting eleven and Gerrard always will be at Liverpool, so that's the difference in my mind. I do think Lampard has been the better performer for England, though.

Gerrard. He was the single reason why Liverpool got as far as the did in the 04/05 Champions League.

I feel Gerrard is the more technically gifted player and versatile in that you can play him anywhere across the middle, therefore, Gerrard quite easily.

You guys forget who guided France to the final in the WC? It was not Zizou as everyone claimes, it was thanks to Vieira. I rank him very high.

And at the moment the only thing Viera seems to do is collect cards. Between Gerrard and Lampard, Gerrard hands down.

can you read? I said he earned it, he could have continued with the play but he preferred to fall. But there was contact so it was a penalty.

Can you read your own post? You said a dodgy penalty, so I presumed you thought it was a dive.

Anyway Henry played crap all tournament, Vieira guided them to the difficult moment and he was the one who scored the very important first goal vs South Korea. The game which they had to win in order to progress to the second round. But he didn't only do that he bossed the midfield for France the entire tournament. After Vieira got injured in the final, France started playing crap.

like rafa said Lampard is around the world-class player
but Gerrard not and he's play best in every position
Gerrard is absolute fantastic player and Rafa get the better squad now.
So this season Garrard will show what's his worth .........He totally better that Lampard :)

Gerrard.(Y) Amazing powerful shots...you can't take off Gerrard. Lampard it's also a class player, but he's not so strong like gerrard...that's the difference.

Lampard has been a shadow of the player he once was, over a year now.
