anyways we all now know that gerrard has the upper hand of the two , even considering the fact that liverpool is doing an "arsenal" this season losing matches, but try comparing lampard and ballack , both of them , some time ago were anchor players at their clubs { Chelsea and Bayern } , but now with the arrival of ballack , who do u think is gonna be performing better for chelsea this season and we know jose mourinho has already got his thinking hat ON about this .

gerrard is versatile, he can be an anchor, a playmaker or a winger when given a role. it would be interesting to read what the chelsea fans think about ballack and lampard playing together.

Gerrard is better IMO, but sometimes I wonder if Chelsea having so many star players makes it hard for Lampard to stand out. Also, I don't think Lampard is asked to do as much as Gerrard is because of all their signings.

Gerrard anyday, lampard just like beckham overatet by the english press, gerrard is the best midfielder in the world in my opinion, great leader works hard helps out in defense and great going forward. u put him anywhere in the field doesnt complain just gets on with and does the job 110%.
