I "wud" not. I don't even like seeing Gerrard together with Lampard, why would I want to throw in another player into a midfield that is already too small for both of them.

yes, maybe u r right , everyone talks about these great creative players , but not about someone like makelele , i think he is a very instrumental player playing in a very important position for chelsea , even real madrid have not been able to replace him in their squad so far.its like having a central defender in the midfield .

Been saying this almost since I started comming to SG and I completely agree. Makelele is starting to get a little old, but he was one of the 10 most valuable players in the world and Real Madrid disrespected him and then were almost glad when he asked for a transfer. It's not a coincidence they haven't won the Champions League since.

Florentino Perez: We will not miss Makélélé. His technique is average, he lacks the speed and skill to take the ball past opponents, and ninety percent of his distribution either goes backwards or sideways.

perez must be wondering what he was thinking while saying that about makelele, anyways there are many more unsung heroes in the football world that we dot know about, so any names, be it players, managers , staff anyone else who u know of or read somewhere, do write about them. :jambo: another player is owen hargreaves , i guess even half of english fans didnt know what he was upto in bayern munchen before the world cup , and just before the new season kicked off , there were talks of him joining ManU and stuff like that , another good player is hernan crespo, havent settled anywhere in europe except for italy, eventhough he had a good spell with chelsea.he is not that quick as we see him , but he is a very intelligent forward and i regard very highly of him.

I think Steven Gerrard. Both are fantastic players with fantastic histories, but I would say Gerrard performs better in key games and is more of a match winner, plus he scores phenominal goals and makes great assists, Lampard does this too, but to a lesser extent.

Eh hem, we have not won a CL for lots of reasons, not just Makelele. Honestly ever since he was sold he has been one of the most overrated players ever. Like he was the greatest thing to come to Madrid. We started to get worse but that was for different reasons.

Frank Lampard is fast becoming Stevie McClaren's favourite boy.He was awful against Macedonia alongside the impressive Carrick.He drops deep too much to pick up the ball from defence when it is Carricks job to do that.Fat Frank should have stayed up and play in the hole where he is best at...Still rubbish for England since the world cup.
