Rooting for Argentina to win this, their squad is amazing and they shouldn't really face big problems if players like Riquelme, Veron or Messi are on form.

Basile confirmed the line-up that Axolote gave before, looks very interesting. Any idea what will be United States' starting 11?

Hmm weird as part of the media somewhat don't like the idea of having Zanetti and not Ibarra as a starter i don't see many saying anything about Crespo.

Batistuta himself said once, that Crespo was the only one that could replace him as the 9 of Argentina.

What was all that mess with the colombian coach before the press conference started?
Also why did Colombia go to Venezuela so close to the date of their match?

Rabona No Gosta...!!!

Anyway, Brazil are still candidates in my book...

If Brazil gets hurt, watch out...

Mexico was amazing...i loved their attitude and offensive football...

Weird a brazilian getting mad about someone who was trying to do a rabona, so what about 'em?:nape:

The Brazil-Mexico match had the best goal, the best save and the best/worst miss.:funny:

The cup is being very interesting so far.:D

Fred got injured, i don't know is he won't be available for the whole thing but at least not for the next match.

Nice goal average so far 4 goals per match, very impressive.

I wonder how much did that little scandal in the conference press of Colombia when they arrived to Venezuela, influence their play against Paraguay?

In my opinion, thus far Uruguay and Colombia were the biggest deceptions, i was expecting a lot from them.:(

Anyway in very poor match Uruguay won 1-0 over Bolivia, goal by Vicente Sanchez, i wasn't expecting much from this match anyway. Venezuela-Peru should be more interesting a draw or victory of Peru leaves them as the lone leader of Group A, a victory of Venezuela would make them the leader of the Group with Peru and Uruguay sharing the 2nd place.

Venezuela's victory today was their second victory in the history of the Copa América for them.

Crespo equalized the goal count of Maradona on Argentina's national team 34 goals for each one. He's 22 goals away from the top scorer, Gabriel Batistua. Also Crespo scored 2 goals in his first match at a Copa América.

With the matches today the goal count goes to 27, which reduces the goal ratio a bit but keeps it above 3 goals per match.

I'm somewhat disgusted by the way that the media refers to the "diaster" or "big lose of Colombia" and not giving Paraguay any credit at all, now i'm hoping that Paraguay will assrape United States today so the media will give'em some attention.

why didn't you create the thread Maestro :brow:

just started watching the match, Paraguay scores the 2-1 by Cardozo.

I was going to do a thread but there didn't seem to be many interest about that match.

Finally Cardozo scored a goal, even though he's not playing his best game still. Tough luck for Villar he got injured again when he was doing good for the national team so far.:S

Paraguay 2-1.
