Copa América Venezuela 2007.

Alright guys I want to illustrate those of you that might not follow SA football as much, so i will give you a quick sinopsys of the teams starting with most likely to with to less likely....here are my first two

Here I go

Argentina
The albiceleste, is coming with all the guns blazing for this one. They are by far the most complete team of the cup and should baring any injuries or freak results lift the cup come July 15. The last time Argentina won anything at the senior level was 1993 that was the 1993 Copa America...Argentina is hungry for glory and coach Basile came to venezuela to win, and nothing less. In other words, this is Argentina's Copa America to lose.

Brazil
Brazil althought lacking Adriano, Ronaldihno, Kaka and Ronaldo is still a force to reckon with. Brazil like I said before is probably the only other coutry in the world capable of fielding two FIRST RATE National teams...that being said the experience, playmaking and scoring power of said Brazilian stars will be missed. Diego, Robihno and company are more than capable to win the Cup. The question remains, can Brazil turn the young talents into goals, and can Dunga's team hold it together under pressure. Brazil is concentrated, its relaxed, young and eager...To me they are the only ones capable of beating a good Argentina side.

i dont see any bright future in this cup for mexicans, what a waist of talent we have probabl y the best talented players in the NT ever, and a clown as a coach, its no secret that half of the playersdislike Hugo,i dont know whato to think anymore, i just hope that the Pachuca guys show some hunger and lets hope he can start to see a real football team.

Almost a whole starting 11. We have a very young squad but I'm glad that we'll have that experience in goal with Keller and then a very good attack with Twellman and Johnson who will most likely be starting every game. Should be interesting to see how this team will perform.
I think we can put together a decent starting XI, but we have no depth whatsoever on this roster. Mapp, Feilhaber and Clark are all first-team material midfielders. But who will take Donovan's spot on the right? Klestjan? Nguyen? I don't think those guys have five caps between them.

The right back spot is also going to be a problem. We're basically missing our top 4 right backs - Cherundolo, Spector, Hejduk and Simek. We'll have to go with Wynne, who is uncapped. Playing against Argentina in Copa America would be one hell of a way to break him into the national team. I'm not too worried about our center backs - Conrad and DeMerit are not much of a step down from Bocanegra and Onyewu, and even Califf is a decent player. Who plays left back? You have to give Heath Pearce a chance, because we've seen plenty of Bornstein there during the Gold Cup. But where does that leave Bornstein? Perhaps he gets pushed into the midfield on the left, with Mapp going over to the right in Donovan's spot.

There are some difficult questions Bradley has to sort out, and he doesn't have much time.

I wish I had Telefutura. I'm very curious to see how this weird roster that Bob has put together will perform against a full strenght Argentina side.

I'm backing argentina to win this, they have a strong team especially with Riquelme coming back if he is anywhere near his best then I can't really see other teams getting a look in.

Apparently the stating XI for the match against USA:

Abbondanzieri
Zanetti, Ayala, Milito, Heinze
Mascherano, Cambiasso
Veron, Riquelme
Messi, Crespo

El Diablo Rojo

Starting XI
Rumours say that Aimar could be starting instead of Cambiasso...
Ok i have no idea what the hell will be Argentina's formation now, probably Verón will be alongside Mascherano.

All that is know is that Tevez wont be starting....I figure he will come in halfway thru the game or so depending on the score.

Senior Squad
Tevez lost his place with Roman returning to the NT...

JS Veron, was amazing in the last tournament where Estudiantes was the champion...

Lucho is an amazing player...but he didn't have good performances with the NT in the lasts friendlys...

El Diablo Rojo

Starting XI
Well i guess Tevez had to be sacrified to have Verón+Riquelme+Messi i always wonder why Crespo is out question since we don't see to rely much on strikers for the attack or even to score goals lately, let it be either Crespo, Milito or even Pavone when he had the chance.

More bad news

Borgetti out of Copa America due injury
Guardado and Medina arent playing against Brasil

Well that means a total of 6 changes that Hugo must do considering Gold Cup, Mexico is in trouble is like starting all over again, and seems that a lot of players have injuries problems or fatige due to the awfull conditions of the US stadiums

I wouldnt be surprise if Brasil wins this goal easly and witrh a lot of goals

I prefer to have a tall player, as a striker...someone that can stay in the box...

Besides, Crespo is never out of the question...the media dont like him...

As a player he has always done what he was paid to do and score goals when needed. But as a person i have no respect for him whatsoever. I remember reading about how Crespo considers himself a better player then Gabriel Bastituta. (N)
