Alamo is a monster but Enriquez is actually better. Goalkeeper is easily my best position.

The times, they are changing.

Nery Castillo (H)

I bet Guardado is killing it in this game.

Oh Zezinho you fucking beauty!

The best part is how awful he was for the rest of the time he was on, he was amazingly shit.

This team can't score but fuck they can defend.

The names of your players would all look great in a football history book. I usually scout on names and how well they fit with the club I manage... it's a bonus if they're really good aswell, hehe. Nice game.

I figured out around halfway through my first season in the Primeira that if I attack with my fullbacks teams like Benfica, Porto, and Braga are going to rip me a new asshole so I changed them to operate more defensively and had a midfielder drop into the zone between the creative players and centerbacks and was amazed at how much it tightened things up. Every player (except the keeper, obviously) is assigned to put pressure on their man (or in the case of the AM, wingers, and FBs, whoever is in their zone) when he has the ball.

Clayton and Jose Fonte aren't the best centerbacks statistically but they're super clean and rarely commit fouls.

It's probably the source of my lack of goals as well, but it really seems to be working.

I wanted to sign him so bad.

Out of the Champions League :(

Needed a goal but couldn't find one. Managed to hold them scoreless for 83 minutes until the keeper came out and mishit a clearance right to Maxi Lopez who wasn't missing an open goal.

Shout out to Porto for injuring both my fullbacks in the match before that though. Appreciate it.

I feel like Booker T after that time Lex Luger coldcocked him with a roll of silver dollars.

Managed to win a league and cup double! It was a really strange season though, I finished with significantly less points and goals scored than I did when I came in 2nd last year. I actually scored fewer goals than I did the season I finished 7th!

Fucking Belenenses (!) kept me from finishing unbeaten. :(

A big reason for both the lack of goals scored and goals conceded is this:

Almost managed a complete set! Sporting really should've won the game in Lisbon but they were finishing like my guys do. You can see from the table that they weren't exactly the most prolific team either.

I played Porto in the cup final and won 2-0, which was absolutely orgasmic. You see, throughout this game I've come to develop and unhealthy hatred of Mirko Vučinić. He's fucking RIDICULOUS. It's like if you mixed Messi with a championship race horse and a Formula 1 car, he's absolutely fucking everywhere and completely unstoppable. He hits 35-yard shots and it's like they were fired from a cannon equipped with laser systems. Plus Porto probably cost me a shot at beating Barca by injuring my fullbacks before I played them.

And my "get kids from random countries" plan seems to be baring fruit, here's a couple of guys I hope to work into the first team next seaon.

I decided to go back to '07 while I wait on '14 to go down in price. Unfortunately the hard drive that my Santa Clara game was on needed to be formatted so I lost it :(. I thought about restarting at Santa Clara but thought I'd save it for the new game instead.

For some reason I follow beauty pageants pretty closely, it's probably part of the whole Southerner thing. Miss Universe is next month and I'm pretty high on Miss Switzerland, Dominique Rinderknecht. She's pretty great. She's from Zürich so I was going to pick a club from there but didn't want to pick FCZ or Grasshopper because they're so powerful. I ended up picking FC Winterthur because Winterthur is from the Canton of Zürich. I haven't even started the season proper and I'm already regretting it.

Winterthur is Switzerland's sixth-largest city (something I didn't know), FC Winterthur is the city's largest club and they play in the second-tier Challenge League at Schützenwiese. The squad is pretty thin and limited, that's probably why the media has picked me to finish 14th in an 18 team league and both the fans and board are expecting a brave fight against relegation.

This is my squad after I made three free signings, I tried to buy some players but it's really, really hard to get people to come.

I signed three players on free transfers: Ronald Rothenbuhler, Manuel Calvo, and Michael Stocklasa. Calvo looks like he'll contribute the most of the three.

Preseason sucked, it was really difficult to get anything in the way of an attack going and I hope it's not a harbinger of things to come. Season starts next.

Five games in and I'm pleasantly surprised by them. The new signings have gelled well and the team has started to create things, especially up the left hand side with Stocklasa and Calvo tying the defense in knots and creating chances for Agouda and Viola. There are a few worries though, when Stocklasa gets forward it really compromises the integrity of the defense. The center backs aren't fast and strikers with pace can really expose them.

I'm sitting 6th having beaten SR Delémont and FC Baulmes (more on them later), drawing with FC Lugano and Servette (stealing a draw against Servette), and losing a heartbreaker to ten-man FC Wohlen. It was my fault, when they had a man sent off I pushed for the win when I should've tried to secure the draw, they scored their fourth on a really quick counter.

The Servette game was interesting. They totally outplayed me but I managed to score on a corner in the 10th minute. They piled it on and eventually scored after 58 minutes when Oliver Stöckli flapped at a cross and missed. I was pretty happy to hold on for the point though, I think it'll be a valuable one.

Back to Baulmes. They are the dirtiest team I've ever played on FM, they fouled almost every time I was in their half. I guess that's how they have to play though looking at the table.

It wasn't the toughest of starts to the season but I'm glad I could pick up some points, I'm afraid those good teams are going to crush us.

I'm actually doing really well, a lot better than I expected. The new signings are making an impact and I loaned in a Zürich youth called Krešimir Stanić (who's now retired in real life, heh) who does a good job up the right with his pace. I have a deep-lying playmaker called Moshe Ohayon, an Israeli international, who might be the best player in the Challenge League. Unfortunately he's out for three months with arthritis...

I'm third after 17 games but I have the worst defense in the top-6 which is a worry, on top of that my Swiss U-21 right back picked up an ankle injury against fucking Wohlen.

What the hell was that?

Vaduz, the capital city of Liechtenstein (population: 5,342), would've been an interesting choice aswell. And rat Zambrotta now plays and coaches in the Challenge League at Chiasso.
