I have a CB who's been responsible for 4 penalties in the last 10 matches.

I love those defenders, every time a match is going well you can always count on them for an own goal or a penalty.

I played a bit tonight while I was watching the CMAs and then came back and played later when I had issues with insomnia. The CMAs were kind of amazing, mostly because of Carrie Underwood's legs, but also because of the priceless face Kacey Musgraves made when Miranda Lambert won Female Artist of the Year.

I care, anyway.

I also won the league.

Getting destroyed by Vaduz really woke me up and got me to remove some of the deadwood. Magnum only played once after that (as a sub for an injured player), I switched keepers and brought in a new right back from the U19 team. It really tightened up the defense and propelled the team forward.

Look how draw heavy this league is.

The last day was pants pissing time because Sion would've passed me had they beaten La Chaux-de-Fonds (it finished 1-1) and I lost because Vaduz beat me so badly that my GD was awful. Concordia actually won their game and finished 2nd.

I joined Ohayon (who's at Mainz now because they triggered his release clause in summer, he doesn't play though) as favored personnel, so that's kind of neat.

I need to make some signings. Hopefully Abdi and Stanic will want to stay now that we're in the Super League.

Halfway through my first Super League season and I found out pretty quick I wasn't gonna get much off those good teams. I just play the reserves against Basel, fuck that, I'll rest my decent guys for games I can win. Look at that ridiculous ass goal difference. That's that Champions League money.

Grasshopper is hilariously shitty. I beat them 3-0.

I managed to avoid relegation somewhat easily. I'd set a target of twelve wins and exceeded it by two. In general I was really pleased with the overall performance but there were some really terrible performances along the way. I was actually still in the hunt for at least an Intertoto (this game is so old) spot but really hit the skids at the end, the beatings given to me by Aarau and Young Boys really didn't help matters in regards to goal difference. Oh well, the goal was to finish 8th so I'll take it. The club is very healthy financially too.

Aarau released Preisig in the summer so I snapped him up, he played in midfield and was really somewhat of a revelation for me. His 7.18 doesn't seem terribly high but he was easily my player of the season, he actually made the Super League team of the year too, not bad for $350/week.

Summer will be about bringing in a dangerous winger and stabilizing the spine of the team. I need a midfielder to play with Preisig and a solid centerback most of all.

Basel is ridiculous, it's really cool to be playing in the Swiss league and have Arshavin running circles around you.

Basel are the most ridiculous team I've ever dealt with on FM. They just toy with the other teams, I got out of my own half like once against them. They scored twice and were basically laughing like Nelson the rest of the time. My Brazilian striker Silvio is in pretty good form this season though, I hope he can keep it up.
