He just came back from a broken leg (he broke the TOP of his leg so you can imagine how long that took) and told me he's leaving :(. So he's transfer listed because his contract expires in June and I want to get something for him.

I actually have to set up friendlies so they can all play because the U-19 league only allows one import player.

Here's my first team (the scroll down is Zezinho who I pasted in):

Because of roster limits sometimes the big three will sell you really decent players for $0. That's how I got Jose Fonte, Leo Mineiro, and Edgar Marcelino.

I'll take that, heh. Bad news is that I need to have Sporting beat them now. :(

António Livramento is frustrating. He doesn't do anything against the other teams yet he pops up against Porto and Benfica and scores!

Glenn Beck is far from happy with, of all people, Vince McMahon. WWE has recently introduced some new characters who happen to be xenophobic heels who hide behind the veil of patriotism, because that gimmick has never been used be for. Certain members of the Tea Party (Michelle Malkin is another one) aren't amused and are voicing their displeasure loudly. WWE invited Beck to come on Raw and respond, they offered him 5 minutes of live WWE airtime to do so and he turned it down. He ain't shit.

It's amazingly hilarious to see them all get worked like this by rasslin' though.

Disappointing, but not unexpected. I didn't really expect to finish that high, actually, so a Champions League place is amazing when put into perspective, but to be that close and to miss out really sucks. I was hoping Sporting could beat Porto to close the gap but I should've known better, I mean, it's Sporting. They're probably too busy counting their mud wrestling trophies.

I still had a chance on the last day, but it was a tiny chance that evaporated in the first minute when I saw that Porto had scored against Marítimo. I was playing Nacional and I'd eventually scrap to earn a 2-0 win over them. I checked back to see that Porto had beaten Marítimo 7-0. Because of course they did. See all that negative goal difference? Porto did that.

Haha, not yet. I only have one honor to my name at Santa Clara (Supertaça) since I won promotion by finishing 2nd. They don't want to expand the stadium :(.

It's actually good if they don't want to expand the stadium, because it makes it more likely that they will build the Brandon Dome.

That would be awesome.

Meanwhile, at the night job:

I accepted because they were so nice about it, but I'm only staying for one more competition. It's too easy because I didn't turn on the huge database and no one has any good players.

Third. England won. Brazil got eliminated in the quarterfinals by Italy. Rossi won the golden boot. You can see I only got scored on once, but that was in the semi. :(

I qualified for the CL by beating Slovan Bratislava and Rapid Vienna, drew a tough group though so we'll see how I do. I lost a couple of good players (Mokoena refused to sign a new deal and went to Celta, Benfica triggered Kone's automatic release fee) and Chelsea are in the group so I'm hoping I can get to the UEFA Cup transfer spot, anything else would be a bonus.

Five games into the season and the team has decided that they don't want to score anymore. I've scored three goals, two of them came against an incredibly shitty Porto (they're 11th!) team, one against Beira-Mar, and I've had three incredibly frustrating 0-0 draws. It's good for second though a few teams have games in hand and Benfica are winning every game they play.

I'm not sure what to do, I need to score goals if I'm going to stand any chance of catching Benfica, but I don't want to tinker with the defense at all. None of my goals have been scored by strikers. The attackers are starting to play like what they are: cast offs and lower division stars.

Did you bring in anyone fresh?

I dont know what tactic you are playing but I suggest you remove your width altogether and play down the middle.

Maybe:

I usually play this, though last year I had Kone up the left:

(Enriquez is usually my goalkeeper but he was recently injured and isn't totally fit yet).

Against Leiria I switched to this and won 2-0 which thanks to Benfica losing two in a row vaulted me to the top of the league.

It also managed to get this result against Chelsea:

But that was sheer luck and an in-form goalkeeper.
