oh dear god, how the hell can you prefer any of the newer ones to Goldeneye, its easily Brosnan's finest. The lack of music is wonderful, makes such a change to the overusage of the Bond theme in the new ones.

He was also really good in Enduring Love - showed he had alot of emotional scope to his acting aswell as the hardman stuff.

read in the Metro today that Judi Dench has said Peirce Brosnan will yet again 007 after recent auditions found no-one.

and I would actually be happier if he stays. the bond movies of my time have always been with him so I dont want him replaced come to think of it.

He is a good james bond and I seriously don't think anyone out there has it like he does.

But having said that, he is old now, and looks it too... James Bond originally wasn't meant to be old... lol. Ah well.

personally i dont think its a bad decision, but ive been saying for over a year now; whoever plays James Bond will inherintly fail or succede depending on the writing of the film, it isnt an actor-heavy movie, an action/adventure movie works on its plot.

Hence why early James Bond movies are good and the newer ones with more tenious dialogue and narrative are poor.

You are so true man i hope that this film will have a more classic feel to it, especially since its based on one of the novels.

james bond movies are crap. regardless who's the next 007, the movie will be the same stuff as the previous god-knows-how-many movies

but if i'm gonna guess, I guess Jorge Garcia.

its already been confirmed Nird. By the way it WONT be the same, the producers have already set out that it will go back to basics with Bond being younger and with less gadjets.
