Everyone hates Barça and Spanish NT here!

I like Spain, but I don't understand why play with six midfielders and no forwards with Llorente as an option. Spain isn't Barça.

Germany just seems like a more complete team without all the flash.

Meh, bad defending on the goal by Chiellini. He had some of those moments at the start of the season for Juve aswell, losing sight of the man at the second post. It cost Juve and now Italy some goals.

Anyway, very lively performance by Italy in the first half, I enjoyed it a lot. Too bad they couldn't keep it up.

Anyway, very lively performance by Italy in the first half, I enjoyed it a lot. Too bad they couldn't keep it up.

It truly was a tale of two halves. The first half was all Italy, Croatia was on their heels the whole time. It's been a while since i've seen a team control possession against Croatia like that. Excellent set piece goal by Italy, they worked hard for it. It was amazing Croatia kept them out for 38 minutes with the kind of pressure Italy applied.

But then in the 2nd half it was all Croatia. Croatia came out and challenged every ball and Italy lost their momentum. And that goal, incredible cross. Not the best defending, he mis timed his marking. but still great control to put it through. Now the group is wide open.

Croatia is in good shape with 4 points, but will need at least a draw vs Spain depending on what happens in the late match today. Italy only with 2 points with two draws. Ireland now plays Spain. If Ireland wins they would be ahead of Italy in the table. It will be very hard though against Spain, but still all to play for. It will be interesting to see if Ireland can hang with Spain. They showed talent getting a goal vs Croatia. but then couldn't stop Croatia from scoring. I thought that Italy vs Croatia mach was very entertaining. Had a nice ebb and flow to it. This tournament is tremendous.

the overall performance was good, and the match should have been buried well before that ... anyway, I saw enough to feel that they can comfortably take care of the Republic, which in turn takes care of qualification ...
