I had hoped to see Carroll start, I actually thought he might have a good tournament, but the problem is he needs good crosses and good quick service and when our wide options are Downing and Milner, he can't rely on getting it. Welbeck was fairly impressive first game and looks like he may link up well with Young, so I hope he starts again.

Yeah as long as the first choices keep fit we have as good a back four and goalkeeper as anyone in the tournament...... the real problem is that thanks to injury (and bad selection) we have absolutely no depth at all, when Rooney gets back we may be able to put together a half decent attacking group aswell IF no-one gets injured and IF Roy picks smart.

When your defense consists of Vlaar and Heitinga (I'm more impressed with my achievements with him on FM after today), two DMs is probably the appropriate strategy.

I really think right now Hummels is one of the top 3 or 5 centerbacks in football.

Awesome individuals, but no team can have more than 1 of those guys. Holland has 3 or 4. Need to play more like a team, maybe play Kuyt, definitely play Huntelaar.

Zis but he does have trouble against Van Persie(4 goals in 3 games). The best way to fix this would be him signing for ze Arsenal! He would be too expensive but an individual should look to himself to fix his troubles. Do a Cesc, Matts....you know you want to!
