Congrats to Sevilla, go eat Middlesbrough in the final! ;)

EDIT: Breaking news! Atletico has signed Sergio Agüero for 8 seasons, the operation is around 20 m €. IMO this and the inminent signing of Rosicky would give Atletico the quality jump they need (they already have a solid defence). And I think this year they're doing things in a right way, not buying 8 average players but buying only few great ones.

Not bad :)

The president of Independiente, Julio Comparada and the coordinator of the football of Independiente, Hugo "perico" Pérez, debunked the sayings of the spanish media about Agüero signing with Atlético de Madrid, they said that the player is not sold yet, and that they were a bit surprised and bothered about the spanish media saying he was a player of Atlético already. And it was for 23m € no 20.

so if Malaga goes down to segunda what happens with Malaga B do they automatically get out of segunda?
Yes. I suppose that also opens up another spot for an ascending team from Segunda B? SevillaB for the third or fourth year in a row will have a shot at it.

These are the picks for the World Cup. There is one spot left which will go to one of the five "dudas" in the bottom right. Not my ideal 22 but at least he got Cesc, Reyes, and Pernia in there.

Don't think so, because Malaga B was already in relegetion positions and would have go to 2ª B anyway. BTW the above pics appear messed up :S

so you gys like Iker as a goalie in situations like PKs? I think Canizares is a better PK kind of a goalie..
Iker is awesome, but he's not the best on Penalties...

Hmm...Marchena, Raúl, Morientes, and maybe Torres should probobly not be there. I have defended Raul before his injury but now it seems like he will be a waste of space out there, apart from Villa none of them are great atm. Xavi might not be in the best shape to play so he is a bit risky. Looks like Cani wont make the squad when he should be there and so should Iniesta. Maybe even Guti.

Senior Squad
- Iniesta should be there.

- No problem with the keepers.

- Marchena and Juanito are pretty crap at this time but it's not like we have great defenders. Maybe Albiol or somebody from Osasuna but they are backups so i hope they don't have to play much. Pernía will be great bc of the fk's so thats a plus.

- The midfield is very solid but i'd also add Iniesta of course. I like Senna, i think his workrate is great and he has a mean shot too. Hopefully Xavi gets in form during the last league matches and friendlies. Xabi Alonso is class and Albelda is good for experience and to add defense. Cesc is good to have too.

- Luis Garcia gives the ball away a lot but has a real knack for scoring big goals and in a knockout tournament that's a big deal. Reyes has been off form as of late but his speed a technique are very good and if Vicente doesn't go he might be the only left winger.

- Villa has been the best Spanish striker and he should start ahead of everybody else. Raul shouldn't be in the squad but he'll go because of things he's done 6 years ago. Morientes has had a very hard time since joining Liverpool and has looked past his best but there's really no other Spanish striker on form so he'll bring some experience and he's a nice guy. Torres, has the best tools of any Spanish striker but it seems like he hasn't progressed as much as he should've and is still too incosistent. The usual excuse is that Atletico are Patetico and he doesn't get enough support but in this team he'll get his chances so he better take them.

I think that having such a lack of front players banging in goals right now, i'd play with 5 midfielders if i was Aragones and i would put Villa as the lone striker or put Villa as a second striker with Torres up front.
