The best chance he could have is coming from the bench like he used to do for Madrid but i just don't think Aragones rates him and he'd even take De la Peña, Raul Garcia or Baraja in front of him.
Baraja, a guy whose football skills are reduced to a powerful shot; Raul Garcia, a guy that have just done an interesting season and suddenly everyone says he's God even without have seen him play; I agree on De La Peña being an interesting option though.

And Guti doesn't lack attitude and just wanders around, it's just that he isn't a DM, so he don't have the positioning a real DM would have.

And William, he do can dribble.

I never thought I'd see the day that Marca would say this. How long before they're photoshopping Madrid jerseys on players rumored to be bought?

I got agree with your post. Guti is not a DM, its just that everytime he started to play regularly we had to go out and buy someone to play his position so he was forced to learn how to play different position. Dont play Guti as DM, thats why Senna and Albelda are there for. Yes Guti can dribble, I have seen him cut through player plenty of times before.

In terms of Cani, he can play in the center but he has been playing on the left for Zaragoza so I think he is better as Reyes backup.

I know a little about Spain, how doy ou think this line-up would do?

--------------------Casillas-------------------

Salgado?----Pablo?-----Puyol------Del Horno--

---------------Albelda/Senna-----------------

----------------Xabi Alonso/Baraja------------

Joaquin------------Xavi/Cesc-------------Reyes----

-------------------Villa-----------------------

Wasn't too sure who you guys considered your best rightback and other centreback. And if Xavi isn't fit, you think Cesc should make the step up?

Ramos will most likely be RB, Del Horno will probobly not be taken, Albelda should be Senna's sub, Baraja is pretty crap, Xavi might not be fit, and Joaquin is still a question mark if he will go or not. Yes I think Cesc will be a starter.

:| NO PERNIA? That team that isn't going is pretty amazing. I still think Palop should've went, even though the odds of a third string keeper playing are slim.

Btw, at least four of those players are only going because they play under Benitez.

Time to stop the hating, time to start cheering our countrymen on.

I watch Liverpool matches quite a bit and Xabi Alonso and Reina are very well deserved. Luis Garcia is not consistent but he scores big goals which always comes in handy and only Morientes you could go wtf? but looking at the rest of Spanish strikers it's not that big a deal.

:S Whenever I've seen Xabi Alonso play (mostly last year plus spanish friendlies) he's lost a lot of balls and I've heard others say the same. I can't vouch for Reina at all, but I know Palop has had a stellar year and his value to Sevilla can't be overstated. He hasn't made a single error all year and has saved numerous games for us, especially in the late rounds of the UEFA. But like I said, I'll be cheering for all of these guys and I hope they all show their best form in the red and yellow.

Good points: 1 defender less (Marchena muahahaha) and Iniesta in. Good move :)

Sevilla continues to make history. For the first time in team history they have qualified for Europe a third consecutive year. The only other teams in Spain that can match this streak right now are Barcelona and Madrid.

Also, if Sevilla win the UEFA Cup (*knock on wood!!*) then Real Madrid have to make the pasillo de honor for us :shades:. Baptista and Sergio Ramos, who went to Madrid to win titles (and money) would have to make way for their former team. This can't be scripted any better. Vaya centenario!

Probably Ramos and Baptista will be very happy with Sevilla Victory, too bad Sevilla supporters are very rancorous and show his hate so easily, what a shame.

As madrid fan i really dont care if madrid must do "pasillo", i can tell you even i it wint be a bad thing for me, cause i would like a Sevilla victory, but you as Sevilla fan really give us reason to desire to see Boro Winning UEFA Cup.

It seems Sevilla city teams really lose his brain so easily when they do a good season

Basically the same way I feel, I want Sevilla to win but it does give a kind of a reason to go against them. :chew:
