Sounds good, leave it in the freezer, fridge or warm temperature? I assume fruit and herbs would work? Or would fruits spoil?

Fresh fruits do work ok, but keep an eye on them for spoilage. And probably freezer after it's infused. The vodka is 40%, so fruit should be cured reasonabley, but you can get spoilage. Cut off any horrible parts first.

When you're letting skittles/nerds/whatever candy infuse, just room temperature.

Shake it up every now and then to hurry it up.

But they should take one or two days.

Then store in the freezer/fridge afterwards, as that's the best way to drink it

Which is the best beer producing nation in the world?

I honestly think America is up there, in terms of crossing varieties I they make some of my favourite lagers and also IPAs. I'm talking the regional and microbrewed beers here, not Budwesier!

Classics like Germany have been in decline in recent years I think, certainly in the beers they export.

I'm going to cheat a little, but I think it's the British Isles. The only competition IMO are from American microbrews who, as you say, are destroying everybody lately. When it comes to beer I don't give a **** about it being around since 1592, all I care about is that it's good. The old world hasn't updated their beer in centuries, and they're getting destroyed by US microbrews now. I'd put my local Lakefront Brewery up against just about anyone in the world; and my #2 local, Sprecher, is pretty great as well.

I think that the issue here is that you're considering American micro breweries, and comparing it to the commercial stuff places like Germany export. There are thousands of Bavarian micro breweries, Czech micro breweries and even Australian micro breweries. So unless you've been around and tried them, comparing micro breweries isn't really fair.

We have some awesome locally produced IPAs, Scottish Red, Porter, Dry Stout, brown/amber ales etc plus different lagers, by micro breweries over here.

Actually even some of the more commercial breweries, like James Squire and Little Creatures do good versions of most of those.

I do agree that the UK though is one of the better ale producing countries, but their ales are nearly always very British in style, though don't do other styles well.

Going off topic, last night I drank an entire bottle of 80% vodka and fell in a river.

A litre of 80% will knock anybody out. That's the equivilent of two and a half 70cl bottles of whisky, and drunk much faster.

I am still quite proud of the fact I can drink 80% (160 proof) straight - not many people can do that!

I definitely can't anymore. I do remember amazing people with my ability to drink Bacardi 151 in my younger days, but the older version of myself looks back with scorn at such a parlor trick distracting people from my actual drinking ability (which was poor).
