i really need to noie if there are eny other tournaments on fifa 2004, coz the one's they got on it now r pretty sad

here's an idea for you to use Greece in a meaningful capacity. The America's cup format makes a nice little international tournament when you swap the international teams in. It goes like this-

16 teams; play each team twice (30 games)
After the league play, the top 8 advance to a knockout round with a 2-leg quarter and semifinal, then a single game championship.
Fatigue plays a factor in this, as it seems that the fixtures are played very close to each other, but it is nice in the sense that it makes you think about lineups from game to game, and you will have to use your whole squad through the tournament.

so it's not exactly Euro or World Cup qualifying, but at least you can get quite a few meaningful games in with your team.

Ok,here's what I think:
EA wanted to reduce the influence of skill moves and make players rely more on passing than on dribbling.
Im pretty sure that's it,coz I've heard some EA ppl state this before in the past.

Yeah, if dribbling or skill moves were easier, it's just a matter of time for players before mastering it and dribbling past everyone and getting bored.

Its quite simple... You first go to "Team News" each week and see if anyone is interested in your players... and then if they are you go back to "Transfer Market", go to your team and bring up their bio (just as you would when buying) and negoiate with the club thats interested...

I'm not sure what placing a player on the transfer market does... if that increases interest or what.... i haven't worked that bit out yet...

- in career mode do you only get more prestige points by completing objectives? how does training work and what are some good ideas for it?

- does the skill level show how good a player is overall?

- everyone keeps on saying how easy it is to score from a distance, however im still struggling away with hard fought 2-3 nil wins on semi pro

- anything on the hall of kits...

sadly SHIFT is the only way to dribble without "walking".

Im staring to hate that walking thing... is useless against human players bvecause the tackle wihout caring if u are "slowing down" the game. I use it , because i need to walk to be to do the other moves... but is not practical and is too slow.

Oh well,4 those of you who don't know:
C+D low shot
C+A stronger cross
...not sure about the C+A thing,can somebody confirm?
It seems to me that the player WILL kick the ball harder with C+A.....

-Yes .. you train your player for example on shooting ... the shooting will increase till it will be 100 and that took a lot of time ... for me increasinf VAN Nesteroy shooting for 95 to 100 takes from me 1 and half season

- if you shoot from out side the box you will score .. for me i score 9/10 when shooting from out side the box

- if you want to unlock the kits of the team you just want to beat it .. if you want to unlock the third kits .. you should beat all the teams in that league including your self .. EG .. if your team is Manchester UTD you should beat th 19 teams in the english league and then beat manchester UTD himself so that will unlock all the third kits in the english league .... and so on .....

I am playing professional level on PS2 and the game is just frustrating the hell out of me, I played as Forest in division one when I couldn't figure out how to score goals. Then when I got relegated to div2 i realised a way to score goals, off the ball and then the circle button to play ball to the chest of the strikers, then they simply head or more often then not chest and shoot low. A good way to score. I've also figured out how to score free kicks. However to me these two methods of scoring are getting boring. I can never seem to open up defences by passing along the floor, one twos etc. Has anyone figured this out? Its rare that I find myself one on one with the keeper.

you have many ways

you can play with your team against your self in a friendly match
or take another team and beat your team in a friendly

.. you can also go to practice mode .. chose the home team as your team .. or any other team .. that dosen't matter
and the away as your team ... then choose free practice 11 players against 1 player .. score 1 goal and then quit .. and a window will appear that you have beat all the teams in that league

this seems to happens a lot ... not in Professional ... but Semi Pro ...

in Professional ... the goalie catach every ball you shoot outside the box ... i can only score in the box, reshoot it after it bounce back from the goalie or through corner ...

here's a tip to score from corner :
choose the player further from the goal ... let it run nearer to the defender (not over him) ... as "you" kick the corner, quickly sprint the player pass the defender then head it, volley it or whatever to score ...

this increase the possibility of goal, good luck!

i play FIFA on Professional and i always score from out side the box when shooting by VAn Nesteroy, Scholes, And Beckham
but i don't score 9/10 ... it's about 5 from each 10
