WE4 Type B is the best effort you've made yet, but the goalies are broken.

Keep Type B, fix the goalies, and you can take a break for awhile.

Hey NK, it's been a while since I been here. Wow bro, you still doing these updates? Awesome. Well, I had a lot of time these last two days to try out your latest offerings and let me tell you, you never dissapoint man. Two years of using your gamplays and you never let me or my friends down. Which brings me to this thread, holy crap there a bunch of new people here. honestly, they should treat you with more respect cuz it's f*cked up that they demand stuff from you after all you've done for the community.

Anyways, back to the patch. I don't see what's with all this bitchin about the defence pressuring too much. It's perfect. These people just don't know how to play. lol. Anyways, playing WE4 was crazy (I played it in Pro) from me winning 5-1 to losing 3-2. What I like was that you boosted the AI greatly. They make beautiful plays that you don't see coming. I had to just stand up and applaud. There were a couple a bugs but other people made you aware of them. My main pick was shooting.

Alright, now the the new beta. It kick major butt. It's truely great. I had one game in pro, 8 min, where I won 4-0. It seemed you made the game easier. The defence pressured less than before so it was a bit easy. So I went up to World Class and I had one of the best games ever. The AI is schooled me with 2 grand goals. Shooting is close to perfect now. Now when you miss it's cuz you really missed up. It's a real solid gameplay but I noticed something:

1. The AI was smarter and made better plays back in WE4.
2. Crossing is a bit too easy. It usually reaches my foward and I'm playing with a Mexican league team with average crossers.
3. Through balls are a bit weak.
4. I can still walk around in the penalty box to score without any pressure on some occasions. (It's alright when a team gives up when they're losing but it's still 0-0)

Other than that I'll play some more games to see if another thing appears. Oh and NK I have time in the next week to test out your stuff.

I really think you should sort out the refree's decisions as he does not give penalties for clear penalties and does not give red card for hard tackles from behind or on tackle on a person who is free on goal.

Plus you still have not sorted the players movement towards the ball when the ball is passed to him.He still stands there like a statue waiting for the ball.

Plz sort these 2 issues.

The player receiver ball issue may not be something I can fix. Referee decisions are based on hard-code, I don't have the freedom to select the variety and type of foul to result in a card/booking or penalty.

Hi NK. Long time no see I tried you newest gameplay and must say that i'm proud of you . It's very good close to awesome. I played on Semi-Pro and won 3-1 with Barca gainst Real. I scored 2 from direct freekicks and 1 with a through pass. The only thing that really bothers me in this version is that the CPU rushes toward the ball like a freight-train. Especially before you receive a pass. And because the human players just stand there like a statue the CPU get the ball off me before i even receive it quite easily. And another thing i noticed is that the shooting is... i mean it is good but it isn't good at long range shots. Remember that idea that i told you about instead making the ball go towards the outside of the goal to go toward the center ? Cause that happens almost all the time in real life cause every time you see on TV a striker shooting towards goal, after he shoots you scream at him "shot toward the corner you idiot! Not in the keepers hands on the center of goal!" because I noticed in my first game with this update that when i shoot from a distance (like from a central position outside the box) with D+Z which should go towards a corner (which it does but 2-3 meters wide) in the goal or almost in the goal you know like...barely missing. Cause what do you do when you are free of marking and you are alone with the keeper in front of you and you are outside the box ? And also the D+C shot sometimes goes wide with an outside curl, initially going towards a corner but then it bends and goes wide. Try and make this shot in a way that when you shoot with D+C it goes to the center or close to the center of the goal and then bends towards a corner cause that what happens all the time in real-life. In fact that's the reason keepers hate curled shots. Sort this out and this update i think would be a winner for me.

Later-Edit: OMG. Did i say sometimes ? I just fooled around in practice mode to experiment with the shooting and I tried with every player available and I shot from outside the box from a central position and they shot at least 3 meters wide off goal. Not to mention D+Z shots. Those are hideous. This has GOT to be fixed. I know you'll release an update where we can choose the shooting mechanic but until you release it modify it in a beta and upload it so we can see if it's good.

Even-Later edit: I also noticed that if the CPU players just get a bit of the ball they rush in like animals and get it from you, again like your player is a pussy. The strength of CPU/Player isn't ballanced. If for example I'm with a midfielder and I kick the ball towards a CPU player with the intention of quickly switching direction afterwards (you know I make the CPU player "bite") the CPU player gets the ball off me. This didn't happen in previous updates. Please fix this.

I don't know what the **** is going on but one match is ok and one match is the same old bully type FIFA. I had 4 CPU players on me to take the ball off me, every pass was pin-point intercepted, I had 0 shots during the whole 20 min game, I don't know why but i noticed that the player select and player movement in you recent gameplay's got really screwed, the CPU players were like walls, my players just circled around them, the CPU always rushed me even before I got the ball, they're only freekick from 30 meters was a goal....I don't know but i think i'm quiting FIFA. It's bull****. I can't stand this type of football. It's like it's playing like this just to tease me, to ruin my day.

Exactly. I can't change the game-engine. I believe some people would like to win every game. I have no idea why!

cosminnfs, it seems you have a temper problem!! The game engine for FIFA 07 can't be re-written, only edited. I do what I can. Sorry if it is still too difficult for you. I haven't seen this 4 players' on 1 recently. But it does happen in real games. Remember the Brazil v Turkey 2002 world cup game?? turkey had bout 5 defenders on 1 brazillian attacker!! it happens, I've seen it in games a lot more.

ssj4karan, the game-speed is set to '1'!! I don't know how much slower you want it You might just have to get used to it for now and then you'll find making plays easier. It might be down to the ball physics though.

Again, I'm not creating a new game-engine, simply editing it. So some things can't be changed.

edit: I have no problem with the shot mechanic either. Although this will be tuned and you'll have 5 choices. I'm sure you'll find the one that works for you the best.

I seriously cant understand your problem as i play on WC difficulty and such a problem never happens.Something is seriously wrong with your copy or your level is really low that you get yourself in that situation.

NK: The finesse shot has to be improved.It always goes out when i try that.Normal shooting results in better results where it is supposed to be the opposite.So plz make that better.

No, I don't want to win every game but when i DO loose a game i want to lose it because they outplayed me, because they were better not because they have supernatural powers like pin-point marking or they are like brick walls and such or i have disabilities like broken finesse shot or can't dribble at least one defender with a 94 rated player like Ronaldinho. These things give me the impression that the CPU is mocking me, he's bullying me. And in case I want to play just for fun a friendly game and not career what would be the problem to win every game?

And you guys who say that you win even on legendary or world class, you probably play 100% arcade pin-ball matches with no thinking just pass the ball up front and shoot etc.

I don´t think so. So far the gameplay is very good. thx!But Sometimes Ithink its too easy. The CPU should be more agressive and the Wing marking is very bad. I can easily play on the Wings and have a lot of Space. In 4.5 beta it was much better. And the shoot mechanic is very difficult for keyboard players. could you make a beta with Intermediate shoot mechanic. Or should I wait until the final version? No I can´t
And the Goalies are not balanced between CPU\Human. I ssaw you put an "1" in "Human_Goalie_skill" in the ini.big? Sry but thats not realistic and you get frustated when the Cpu makes a baby shot or header and the ball rolls slowly over the line while the keeper makes stupid moves.
Also it would be great when the Goalis come out earlier. That would make the game even more realistic.

Pressing the lob pass button (long pass) makes the wall jump. If i press that I 90% of the time block the free-kick with good timing.

Also, the goalkeepers are equal now. So you can score the same goals against each other which will offer a new level of balance and freedom to your play and challenge and also rewarding to know the goal you scored matched that of what the cpu can do. this also means user keeper is much better. no more weak header goals, or far out free-kicks wull unrealistically go in.

I've also made them more aggressive at defending, but on levels such as Semi-pro, they will make a lot more mistakes at marking! And tackling also. This will take out that 'wall issue' many have who don't have a high skill playing level.

just scored a freekick and the keeper didn't even dive. i haven't seen this except in the intro vid.

it might have happened before in the original EA gameplay, but very rare. I have tuned the goalkeepers to have more realistic reactions. the keeper didn't think it was going in, but then it curled and went right past him. I ws Ronaldinho on Brazil against England keeper.

Hey NK, would you please tell me what tools do you use to edit the ai.ini? I find that I can't change the SHOT_MAX_BALL_OUT_ANGLE_TOLERANCE from 690.0 to 600 or else there will be a shooting bug. Thanks
