Cool...But i seriously think you should reduce the players movement sensitivity cause sometimes they just start rotating and especially after missing a tackle,I have no control over them...So can you do anything about that?

Yeah I resolved this issue and it's resulted in a tighter defence for both sides.

Just played a 20 min game against my bro. I was portugal at home, night match, rain off and off (dynamic), against Italy. Brilliant game! Drew 2-2 and he beat me on penalties. We skipped extra-time though due to time constraints (hell 20 mins is long!), but this was a great game, really enjoyed it. And saw it through. Has some great chances, crazy missed shots, close calls, great GK saves. Had everything! Even an injury haha.

Just tuning up the physics. Especially passing and ball bounce. This is key to more natural, believable play.

No NK no matter what you say I still am right. And as an argument to sustain this is the fact that I played 8 20 minute matches and what i said in my previous post is true. I keep losing matches cause when i get the ball i can pass it but i can't score goals cause i still have 3 defenders on and in front of me and plus the shots go low every kind of shot i try (this is also because of YOUR ball physics and EA's shooting which you can probably sort out in the next beta so it's not a problem), and because I can't take things on my own when i need to, not even once. Not a single dribble works for me. I try the dribble but the defender read my mind perfectly and he only does a tiny effort and sticks out a foot and he gets the ball off me and my player is like a girl he dosen't have any strength advantage over the defender. Like my player is a doll. The previous beta was perfect from this point of view but it was too easy and as i can see in this latest beta you actually did make it harder which is excellent BUT you did it harder by modifying things that made it unreal: sometimes rushing calm mind-reading defenders. I remember that until this beta I don't know how you did it but it was ultra-realistic and that's the fact that you made the ball "run free" after a tackle/shoulder from a CPU player so you could get it back again, but now the CPU get the ball every time so it's like if the CPU manages to touch you, the balls gone you won't see it again. Other then that i can see the passing is a bit better now. And also I noticed that my GK is veeeery stupid at balls that go right near him. I mean I got 40% of the goals because my keeper could at least touch balls that flew very near him, and those shots came from outside the box so it's not a question of reflexes here cause he had time to see the ball. Anyway that's enough for now, I'll just wait for the next beta.

Crap. I think you should start again from 4.4b cause that's the best there is at the moment.

This really is a no comment picture but let me just say that it seems to me that the CPU players are waiting to queue/waiting their turn to bully and walk all over eto'o like cannibals. Now this is what i call realism ! Keep up the good work. :thumbsup:

ok, first...it's a beta for a reason. Don't sweat it's not the final version! The CPU is actually very different now. It's making progress in the direction YOU have suggested and that's a big step from one persons feedback. The problem you are experiencing is one I am trying to get around.

I've noticed the 3+ guys going for 1 player, and it's not like I have value '3' for ball coverer selected, ONLY 1 PLAYER! So this is a strange out-come for me also, as it's never happened before.

The problem with your view-point is that although 4.4 had that realism, it was a walk-over. And even 4.5 is easily beaten. But both are more extremes, so what I'll do now is splice them together.

Don't worry, you're playing what I go through all the time and it never turns out as bad as some beta's might suggest.

So stop with the 'it's crap' and look more into 'it's crap right now' lol.

It'll turn out fine cause I know what you guys want from it.

was just england against brazil, 20 min match but ONLY played first 10 mins. I quot match after excitment of what I had got the game to play as.

There was none of this '3 on 1 player' rubbish, or 'weird marking'. sometimes you'd see 3 defenders running back to mark up, but that was cause i was pushing forward and they needed the numbers!

Well, they had 15 shots in that half and 6 on, 2 goals.

I HAD 0 SHOTS! I had 43% possession and made lots of passe's, 1-2's, even little tricks here and there. I couldn't get down the wing as they kept blocking me off down there for the 'easy goal curse of fifa'. I made lots of cool plays, but they had a man where it counted. And it looked natural for once. I could see where I COULD have passed! This made it entertaining to build-up the play and it was one of them moments where in real games on tv, you shout at the player losing the ball saying "HE WAS OPEN!!" it was good.

It is built upon 4.5. However, 4.4 cpu had some values put in and then tuned up some to make it harder. But it's not unrealistic hard, it's more natural. None of this '3 on 1' like I said. That was the main problem, because if they did get the ball off you when they 'bullied' you, it's harsh, but if you got round it, IT'S TOO EASY! cause they're in a pack and obviously not marking up. Now however, you'll see proper marking and be able to pass with speed and have a better chance of getting it to your player.

It is pretty interesting. I would certainly look forward to the next beta if you like this sort of simulation play.

Neways jus like to say THANKS for the patch especially the WE 5 patch its awesome and very challenging also to cosminnfs wif the negative feedback layoff him buddy u no he doiin a great job and evn tho he wants feedback he doesnt want ppl sayin to him its crap after the work he put into it.So give him a break.

Also jus like to say before this patch i had a match against australia (me) and cameroon and wif no patch on world class i killed them 9-1....but wif this patch i lost 3-0 wtf thats awesome lol.

So yer keep up the good work !

I really thing you need to learn how to play the game cause the latest patch is so easy,I score an average 6 goals every match against top sides in WC difficulty and in a 6 min match.Plus the problem you said occurs sometimes but proper dribbling and timing and help you overcome the situation...It leaves a player free and gives chance of scoring..So try it out.

Sorry guys it's just that i was really frustrated/pissed last night, but hei... at least i was honest And I agree with what NK said that this is a only a beta and that i should rephrase that to "it's crap now" referring strictly to 4.5 cause i like 4.4b
Anyway i'll just wait for the next beta and we'll see what we can do from there.

thanks for the feedback and support guys, the update is really coming along well.

I know what you mean by Simulation passing. No more is it a frantic rush! You have to pace the game.

I'll get a beta out to you guys soon. I'll give you guys the Intermediate shot mechanic. It'll be harder than the easiest one, which is the EA replica. Although EA replica will be tuned before WE5 goes final. (to do with ball physics)

My passing physics look more natural now. Quick bounces and friction, skidding, rolling. Works together better. I've even put in a lot more work into rain physics, so this really affects the gameplay now when it gets heavy! I want this to be the best simulation update I've done.

The player movements are now controlled and dont move very freely like in the previous installment.

The CPU players still dance with the ball allowing me to take the ball off them.

The passing is too sensitive..I am not able to make those close passes.So can you reduce the sensitivity of the button pressing.Even though i see the player whom i want to pass and press it correctly so that the pass can be made to him,The player passes it to someone else...I dont think the previous patch had this problem.

Same thing for the ground shot which is very hard to execute...Reduce the sensitivity for that too and to score by long shots in almost impossible now.

N plz tell me how to shoot to the sides of the net?Cause no matter which direction i press and shoot,The player shoots it straight allowing the keeper to save it.

The defence is better now but could not see the cpu attack much..Maybe i did not allow them but in the previous patch they made some pretty cool attack moves to score against me.

Well thats it...My first match England[me] vs argentina in a 6 mins WC game ended 3-1.Will play more and let you know.

I tried to change the value of SHOT_MAX_BALL_OUT_ANGLE_TOLERANCE but when i play the game and whenever i shoot the ball, the ball will will be kicked back instead of forward. After that, i tried to change back to the default value which is "690" and strange enough, the problem still there and i have to reinstall the beta again. Hope you understand what i mean. Thanks.

Reason for cpu attack is probably the delays. They were turned off to allow better defence, but same works for you also. will have to find a balance for this.

Shooting again? lol. I've scored low and top corner goals. Takes a while getting used to it. what game-pad are you using? Name, make? Your pad might be sensitive to button press's. I haven't changed anything to make passing sensitive!

I will improve the cpu attack and work on ball physics and passing speeds to see if this helps with some issue's.

As for the shooting, I am confused as to why you cannot hit a lower shot.

The intermediate shooting will be easier to execute lower shots and keep the ball down.

I will sort out short passe's although I don't see what you mean exactly. I've done short pass fine!

Pass assistance is in the controller settings where you turn on rumble, etc. And here's me thinking you were the FIFA 07 alpha

I am an fifa Alpha

Its just that i dont tweak with the options much.I checked everywhere but i could not find the pass assistance option anywhere.N lower shots is possible like you say but the ground shot where the ball rolls around the ground, Is not possible.

I played more and i can say that the defence is now good.It feels tight and right but still sometimes they act stupid and give away the ball.The attack needs to be a bit more aggressive.If you can do that then it'll be perfect.Passes are fine and the problem i mentioned before seems to be gone.

But the shots are still a problem.I cant use the ground shot,Long shots are impossible and when i try to shoot to the sides,The player shoots it very wide.I am not using the finnese shot so do you think i should use it?

N can you do anything to make my gladiator controller compatible with the game?My bro told me there is a way to do it so do you know how?
