Egocêntrico you should get used to hearing opinions of ppl who dunno what the hell they are talking about. It´s a trend in here.

I'm saying that in my opinion there's no harm in calling the god damn club Sporting Lisbon and it's used as an translation (almost an translation, as there's no Lisboa in the name but it's widely spread and common to call them Sporting Lisbon). You dont need to imply that i think i know more that Portuguese people for christ sake.Originally posted by Vinnie Jones

And he is perhaps being a prick cause ppl from PORTUGAL already explained you the problem and you still keep on going with your interpretations when it is clearly explained already. Cmon do you really think you no more than the portuguese ppl? I don´t go around disserting about the roots and the translation of Criciuma because i don´t know any thing about them.
They look a helluva lot better than they did last season, thats fordamn sure.Originally posted by Vinnie Jones
On topic, i think Rangers looks like a pretty consistent team

Yeah it is, but people refer to Sporting as Sporting Lisbon in the entire world except for Portugal i think. Here in Brazil we say Sporting de Lisboa. It's just wide spread and i see no harm in using that. You cant call anyone ignorant for referring to Sporting Clube de Portugal as Sporting Lisbon either.
And you insist in being a prick. If you dont have anything better to do than call someone ignorant in the internet just for the way they call a club then get a life.
Ah you know me so well :POriginally posted by Vinnie Jones
Nice effort. Well great match so far, we couldn´t ask for much more, i mean Buba would prolly ask for 3-1 for Rangers instead
It's "translated", not translated.Originally posted by Aveirenses
I can't believe someone said Sporting Clube de Portugal 'Translated' is Sporting Lisbon...
SCP translated would be Sporting Club of Portugal.
