The other result was already mentioned... but Sporting won 4-3 over Feyenood on a penalty shoot-out after normal time proved no barrier between the sides with the score at 1 all.

Yeah he was meant to play but becuase he's signed for the inbreds (Boston) he decided not to play.

i know that hes signed for Boston United, im just saying that it wasnt the reason why he didnt play for Newcastle. He was just supposed to do the kick-off.

I can´t believe Sporting is playing this way. After some piss poor performances against Crystal Palace and Bolton, they are finally starting to play decent football. Defense looks steady and the passing is effective so far. Sporting always plays good first half´s the problems usually come later as they start slacking and losing concentration, just like against Feyenoord. Anyways good first half and great goal by Tello, a player who usually needs about 100 shots on target to get one goal. Milner=class btw

I can't believe how childish the England fans can be! Just because Ricardo was fouled by John Terry and then scored the winning goal that knocked England out. Have some respect for him you idiots. And get over it, England lost. The only people you should be blaming are Beckham and Vassell, who were the ones responsible for missing crucial penalties! And there's no point blaming the referee's decision because he was probably correct, and even if he wasn't, it's not as if everyone's perfect. Cheated? BS. That's football.
