Every team in the world would take Hazard over Kagawa and you know itadedawson;3243918 said:what you talking about? They got around the same amount of assists and goals, the difference Kagawa plays in a far better league and does far better Internationally.
Hazards twitter fixation just added to the media hype. Compare him with Kagawa who's been relatively silent. Not that I blame hazard for trying to drive his price up.
Eden Hazard: 192 apps, 50 goals and 38 assists.
Shinji Kagawa: 198 apps, 86 goals and 45 assists.
You could argue that Kagawa was playing in Japan, but if you look at the last two seasons
Eden Hazard: 100 apps, 34 goals and 26 assists.
Shinji Kagawa: 71 apps, 29 goals and 15 assists. (I'm pretty sure Kagawa actually got 19 goals this season which puts them even closer with 30 less games)
Less games, better league, half the price, great attitude, loves the English league = no brainer

ShiftyPowers;3244753 said:I actually think you look like an awesome counter attacking side
Rooney
Nani-Kagawa-Valencia
Carrick-Fletcher(?)
Arnau;3244756 said:Counter attack is a resource but not a style in a big team. I think Man Utd will be interesting to watch next season, people like De Gea, Smalling, Jones, Cleverley, Welbeck etc.. are more experienced now and Kagawa is a great addition, not to mention SAF ability to rebuild the team...
ShiftyPowers;3244804 said:Anyway, I've always been a big fan of Fletcher. Hope he comes back healthy.
You see, I like the look of that but I think it is let down by Carrick and those two you highlight. I think Cleverley and Welbeck are good players with good potential but I honestly dont think they are ready to take such key positions in a midfield alongside players like Kagawa, Nani and Rooney. I also think you need to replace Carrick, the ideal replacement being Modric.adedawson;3244727 said:we will see. Hope hes doesn't turn into a shev, torres fiasco. Kagawa blatantly looks the better player to me and fills a much needed spot we have lacked.
-----Carrick--------Cleverly---------
Nani-------Kagawa------Welbeck----
-----------Rooney------------------
lets play Tiki-taka, looks lethal on paper. Cleverly and welbeck playing together are amazing.
ShiftyPowers;3245403 said:Carrick is fine, he's been hated on his entire career, but that type of guy is necessary in a team that wants to keep possession. Again, my only problem is I don't know if Kagawa is necessarily the kind of patient player who pings the ball around endlessly. He's direct. His efficiency is probably his greatest strength.
the following criteria must be met for a work permit to be approved:
1. A player must have played for his country in at least 75% of its competitive "a" team matches (not including friendlies) he was available for selection, during the 2 years preceding the date of the application;
2. The player's country must be at or above 70th place in the official fifa world rankings when averaged over the 2 years preceding the date of the application; and
3. The application for a gbe must be made by a club in membership of the premier league or football league and the player will only play for clubs in membership of those leagues.
Having missed out on takeshi okada's squad for the 2010 world cup in south africa, kagawa failed to meeet the criteria of playing 75% of japan's matches over the past two years should united apply for a work permit now. This means that united will need to appeal the result of the verdict for the permit to be granted.
A way around this situation would be for the old trafford side to delay the move until mid-july, where the 2010 world cup games will not be eligible to be taken under consideration for the work permit.
In a similiar case last season, kagawa's international team mate ryo miyaichi's move to arsenal was also delayed by a work permit issue. The gunners appealed and miyaichi was successfuly granted a work permit on grounds of 'exceptional talent'.
