"Lewy is going to Manchester United, Kuba also somewhere in England, Piszczek to Real," said Smuda.

"They have a goal and they want to grow. I base the squad on them."

Lewandownski would be awesome but do we actually need another striker? I thought Welbeck had a great understanding with Rooney. Maybe Ferguson wants to have 4 quality strikers with Welbeck, Chicharito, Rooney and Lewy like he did in the late 90s with Cole, Yorke, Solskjaer and Sheringham. I have the feeling we will continue playing 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1 with Rooney as second striker. I wonder where would Kagawa fit in then. I hope not on the wings. I hope not in central midfield either. To get the best out of him, we should play him as attacking midfielder, just behind the striker, free of defensive duties.

Lewandowski and Rooney up front with Welbeck as the up-and-coming star getting rotated in and Hernandez as the impact sub looks pretty good to me...

Bad news for Welbeck as Lewy is the far better player. Their again nothing like a bit of good competition to bring the best out of people.

Do we really think dortmund will sell us two of their best players though?

To be honest Welbeck isn't quite a Man Utd starting XI standard player yet........ and Lewandowski is......

Yeah your right... still don't think Dortmud will let two of their star players go though. Would be brilliant if they did.

For what it's worth, Rafael Honigstein has said that Lewandowski going to United this summer is impossible and he's usually right about this sort of thing.

Help?

I'm only seeing this in anglo-saxon news sources. What if somebody made up a rumour about the coach supposedly saying it, then one media outlet ran with it and then the rest followed. The quotes are the same everywhere. Did the coach only say 3 lines for the whole interview? or did they just grab the quotes from each other?

Pretty easy to make **** up, when you know the coach and the whole team are focused on the EURO rather than denying false rumours about club transfers.

Since we are about to sign Angelo Henriquez aswell, I don't think we'll be going for Lewandowski.

What the polish coach said was more like a compliment to the mentioned players, you know, like a father who's saying "my son Peter's so smart, he will become a doctor, my other son John's so greedy, he will become a lawyer", which doesn't mean that they will do so right away...

Yes just saw that. Kagawa should sign shortly as well. From what I have read, he only wants to come to United, which is why other teams have not really been involved. He's not the type who seeks for the best salary like Hazard.

Nick Powell. Position: attacking midfield

I hope he develops like Smalling. From the English 7th tier of football to the EPL and playing for England within less than 2 years. Crewe is in the English 4th tier.
