I don't have a problem with Hull City winning though. I hope they lose on saturday obviously, but if they could get some results against Liverpool, Aston Villa and maybe Arsenal again then that could be useful. They won't be a threat for the title come the end. Lets hope Tottenham and Sunderland take something from their games this weekend, the gap is afterall 8 points even though we've got a game in hand. When Chelsea and Liverpool come to old trafford i think we could end up needing to win both.

How completely awesome would it be for them to actually still be challenging in the closing weeks? They won't, but imagine the uproar if they finished in a champions league spot.

Hull City is kind of reminding me of Ipswich Town, but i really doubt that they will be able to keep up the intensity to finish third or fourth. Liverpool and Arsenal are just too strong to give up a spot like that.

Well, Liverpool are currently top and unbeaten....you're really underestimating them aren't you.

yes, they might fade away but that remains to be seen.

We have to treat them as a real threat as long as they are winning games. Afterall they did beat you at Stamford Bridge, which we couldn't do. I think they will fade away because although the depth of the side has improved i don't think it's enough compared to United and Chelsea. Fullbacks are very average too. Arsenal won't win, the defending was woeful the other night when they lost the lead.

Anyway it would be good to see Hull City in the CL, makes the PL feel more competitive. I think it will be difficult to get the same rhythm back if they lose on saturday. It will probably depend on how easy the game the following week is.

Rooney's new look is scaring the $hit out of my 5 year old nephew, and the last time he was this scared was when I was watching the old nosferatu film.

His performances have been scary too recently. He's looking more selfish and confident, taking more shots from distance.
I guess the haircut really helped. o.O

Until i see some major changes in the way that team is run, i can't seriously consider them as contenders for the title. Last season they were unbeaten in first 9 or 10 games as well, only difference is that this season they got a few more lucky breaks that last season. Its the same thing with Arsenal, you can't just expect to keep using the same failing strategy and hope that with time it pays off.

Looks like SAF is gonna go with berba/tevez upfront again. He shouldnt forget abt the rooney/tevez partnership that won us the double last season.

Berbatov is in great form and i think Ferguson wants to build a team around Rooney and Berbatov. Tevez said that he wants to go back to Argentina in 2-3 years, so we can't really rely on that too much.

Anyway, 4-3 win against Hull after a very intense finish. Hull got very lucky to be honest to keep the game so close, credit to them for being so persistant, but really United should be kicking themselves for missing all those chances. Really should have been 6 goals for us at least. Arsenal lost to a promoted team again and now we jump up to 3rd. At least for the time being.

our complacency is gonna get us into trouble real soon. We need to stop sitting back after taking leads and concentrate for the full 90 mins. We missed many chances as well. Rooney had an off day. Happy with the 3 pts but absolutely livid at our lapse in the last 10 mins.
