Aren't Rooney and Tevez strikers? Aren't they strikers you bought in the past 3 years? Aren't they worldclass, internationally capped strikers, for whom you've paid millions for?
Sure, you need a striker, but that's not an excuse. There are 7/8 other players on the field who can score goals, scoring 3 in 4 matches, when you're supposedly the best in the world, is just... unacceptable, as I've said.
And your basing this on our last 4 games? 2 of which we have won, one which we drew with Newcastle and 1 we lost too after players returned from tiresome duty, injury etc. Dear god I think you maybe onto something!
Rooney has been under preforming to a certain degree like he always does ever since he's joined. It does matter though because during these spouts he doesn't score and create chances he has stints of true class and always scores around 20 goals a season. Tevez ball greedy sometimes but he's class gives 200%, creates chances and scores goals. He's also like Rooney going through fazes of not scoring, most likely due to the same reason that nether are out and out strikers.
Were lacking that in a big way. A point man like saha (when fit
), are only other options are a up and coming player from the youth team, Campbell and a striker Manucho who's yet to even play in this country.
Ronaldo has acted like a 3rd striker and a point of contact offering something we have been missing in our strikers he's tall and powerful etc. With Rooney and Tevez were lacking the finish but we all know that, not that were complaining because at the end of the day they both make chance work there asses of and still get 20 goals.
Early days chaps we will come back with force, don't be over dramatic that all has ended without Ronaldo. As you will see when half our team isn't injured or just recovered from injury or duty.
In the past and we have won in style with and without Ronaldo. Give it chance were far from operating at 100%. After all we had nani blasting it in every direction other then the goal, fletcher not exactly our most talented player although far from bad and he's getting us goals. Gary Neville, Park Ji returning from loooong injury, Young Anderson who needs developing returning from the Olympics and the wonders of O'Shea. There not exactly on par with themselves being 100% fit with the roation of giggs, carrick, ronaldo and Hargreaves to add to the flavour.
His point is that ManU fans trashed Ronaldo for his desire to leave and Real Madrid for their insistance on buying him, yet ManU and Berbatov have been playing the same game.
Berbatov isn't 23, hasn't just signed a 5 year contract or mentioned after winning the European championship his desire to remain at the club. Berbatov is reaching his 30's wanting something a little bigger.
In either case I don't condone it I'm trying to illustrate why some other's may give more dramatic points of view.
Personally, If that was a player playing for my club, I would have been ashamed of Scoles, and a little confused as to why Man U feel the need to cheat so openly, when we are constantly told how wonderful they are. Cheating shows a serious lack of class, scruples and morals.....and you find it funny? Congrats, that is so manc. Cheating brings disgrace upon your club or wasn't you aware of that?
Be fair now not all manc's would think like that. We don't condone it and I'm sure there was no malice in his action you know what Scholes is like. Its disappointing we will lose him in some European games now, punishment enough.
Out of all the strikers out there, I don't see the specialness in Berbatov. What have I been missing?
We will see... I'm thinking this Manucho is what we have been missing if he preforms to the same pedigree he did in the African nations that I'm sure he will do else saf wouldn't have got him after his trial at the club or gone to all this effort in getting him a work permit. Finger's crossed but a big point man is what were missing, lets hope he delivers.
