UNITED WON'T HUNT STRIKER

Manchester United are unlikely to enter the market for a new striker before the transfer window closes - despite their injury problems.

Sir Alex Ferguson is without three senior forwards - Ruud van Nistelrooy, Louis Saha and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - and last week the United manager said the club were taking stock of the situation before deciding whether to sign another player.

United's current problems were clearly evident in their 1-0 defeat at Chelsea, but it is understood the club's directors have now decided to view the situation as a short-term problem, with Diego Forlan and David Bellion able to support Alan Smith, making it highly unlikely that another striker will be signed.

Forlan to support Smith! oh my god, have they not noticed that forlan cant support enyone, first he must ad glue on his boots so the ball dont get away!

Well if the Boss say no to buy, then it's nothing to do about that!

Quite clearly, neither of them ain't good enough, I am pissed off with it.

how about any reserve striker to bring into the first-team, surely it would be better than Forlan and Bellion on the bench, Its look so depressing to see our bench option yesterday. :f***:

Subs: Ricardo, P.Neville, Ricardson, Bellion, Forlan

Is mads Timm injured? he could be a good player too help out for some weeks! He sure is better then Forlan at the moment!I know he is a midfielder but he got good offensive qualitys, could play as striker.saw him when he was at viking and he played more like a striker then a midfielder!

Wow, I'm shocked that Man U are being hit so hard with injuries probs. Sorta like Inter for the past 2 seasons. Maybe you should take Moratti and Facchetti's approach to erase the problem. Sign every free agent available raising your squad number to 34 :p

thanks Shokz so much. that was a great powerful video!

Fergie have to rebuild these moments now. I'm watching United patiently hoping for these moments to show up again.

Nothing will ever substitute a certain midnight in May 1999 when United lifted the cup.

bought a new striker i don't think is necessary. thats why some of us come out the LOAN idea. initially target was morientes but since he can't play in CL, so is meaningless to get him. any other possible loan target?

I still think we should buy Rooney. He can play CL, can't he?
Besides if we don't get him now, Real Madrid will come to the conclusion that Ronaldo, Raul, Owen and Morientes isn't quite enough and decide to buy Rooney as well.

Oh yeah , you lost against chelsea because Forlan played:f***:
why you hate him??, why you prefer bellion???????
for me is a great player but he needs some full matches, no 5 mins per match

I, for one, without a doubt prefer Bellion.
Come on, at least Bellion has yet to miss shots in the way Forlan did against Juve.

Let's face it, our squad is nothing compared to our title rivals this year. Now I know that a huge squad with top class players doesn't automatically get you trophies but if you compare our squad with the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal I can't really see us winning anything this season. I hope I'm wrong...

Cheers for the highlights, Ben.
