It's over...

It's over in my opinion. Ferguson is starting to crack under pressure - he can't handle it if you ask me.

Arsenal are looking too good and whilst I don't think they'll go unbeaten, neither Man Utd or Chelsea will be consistent enough to overtake them.

You's are all spouting bollocks. It's not quite over yet, quite.

There are 2 things:

1) Arsenal need to lose. At the moment they have an added incentive to keep their undefeated streak going. The question is, once they lose what will happen? imo, I can't really see them dropping 9pts over the remainder of the season, but if they drop 3 (particularly before the United game - then United beat them (highly unlikely in current form)) they could wobble and drop the required points. It's a big ask but it's not impossible in the game of football.

2) United need to improve. Recent displays have been shambolic. We do not lack ability. Ronaldo in particular has shown signs since his mid-season holiday of developing into a class act, and he's delivering. He has probably been our best player since Rio's suspension. While that's a credit to him it's also a sign that our established players aren't performing up to scratch for one reason or another.

If we are to win then we have to look at winning every game from here to the end of the season. On current form I don't hold much confidence that we can do this. But then knowing our players, they could all turn up next match fired up and get the results they need from here on in. At the moment it's unlikely, but football's unique in the way that this sort of thing can happen.

The other thing that we could do with is a bit of luck. While Arsenal have been far superior consistency wise this season I can't name you one incident where bad refereeing has cost them, but I can name a couple where it's helped them. Last weekend's highlights showed this up and got me thinking.

Pires was a yard offside for Arsenal's opener, yet the goal stood. (Not that it matters Arsenal would probably have beaten Charlton in the end anyway but you can never tell). Saha was pulled down, intentionally by Van Der Sar and the ref missed it. That's the way the cookie crumbles sometimes, and while I don't think it's a conspiracy, it's the sort of luck Arsenal have been having all season and the sort of luck we haven't had.
