It's over...

Dont try to tell me otherwise. Dont tell me there's so and so games left. Dont tell me that it's not over till it's over with Man Utd cause I'm sick of it. The 98/99 season is over people, stop hinting that theres some kinda magic in the team that enables them to magically come back. It could've been so differently, but there's 1 event that triggered a whole chain of events for man utd. It all started back at Southampton. We looked ordinary for the whole match, kinda like how we are in all our games now. Many people think we needed something to spice up the attack, but as we continued to win after that no one paid attention.

Now fast forward to the winter time to the transfer window. Everyone wanted us to get an attacker, so Sir Alex firmly set his heart on Louis Saha, not knowing how much that would cost the team. BAM, Rio Ferdinand gets in this whole missed drug affair, the transfer window slams shut leaving us without the heart of our defense, and nothing to do about it. Without a confident defense, our attack cant be confident, therefore their form slumps as well.

That's how it all got to this sad sad stage. Now imagine if Rio didn't miss that test, what would things be like? Well, for one we'd have a solid defense, our attack would've been bolstered by the arrival of Saha, and we might've actually been wrestling with Arsenal for first place, maybe 1 point behind or ahead of them. But no, it wasn't meant to be, and I see no way back for man utd. No 98/99 season, no dramatic extra time season comeback. This is reality, and in reality, we have an ordinary team, on low confidence.

You gotta hand it to Arsenal, they're keeping a tight ship, and undefeated in some what? 29 games? Is astronomical. I applaud them, because they are undoubtedly the champions of England. Dont expect me to have a Real Madrid sig in a few minutes :p, I'll always support man utd 100%, but I'm also a realist, and this is the reality of things.

I bet Ben will be pleased when he see's this thread

anyways I don't think it is over yet for United.

Though it is a wide span you gotta remember that Arsenal and Man. Utd. still play.

Also After Arsenal play Man. Utd., they play Liverpool and Newcastle.

If they go through that stretch with this big of a lead, THEN you can say it is over;)

Um, if u dont have something good to say, why dont u stay the hell out? I'm posting a genuine opinion here, not calling for fergie's head, or anything, so why dont u just do my thread some respect and leave.

I also find it UNBELIEVABLE that all of these Man. Utd. 'fans' say that the season is over.

They have no faith in their team which is the complete opposite of what they should have.

I knew you'd come it with that empty glory hunter nonsense again. Let me tell u what a glory hunter is. A glory hunter is someone who hops from team to team. Do you see me saying I'll support another club? It's irritating, constantly being called a glory hunter, when I've been a man utd fan on this forum while u were still a nutstain on your moma's draws.

That makes me a true united fan, because I know the team's limit's, dont expect me to go around blindly saying :"WOOHOO, GO ON YOU RED DEVILS, YOU'RE GONNA WIN THE CL AND EVERYTHING THIS SEASON WOOHOOOO". I'm human, and when the team I love isn't getting results, as a human, I WILL be disappointed. Unlike your team, we're dont get help from the referees. so I guess that option is gone huh?

So take your samba ass and rumba-on out of this thread...

I actually respect what he is saying. He has made a thought out conclusion based on how his team manu are playing. If anything he is being an intellegent fan who actually follows his team. He may be right or wrong but he has studied the facts and came to a conclusion on what he thinks. Your an idoit a glory hunter would have not said anything at all and started to support Chelsea one day.

it might be.. :(

in this situation, im seeing 2 different parties (not like PARTYY WOOHOOO FREE DRINKS ON THE HOUSE :| ) amongst the united fans on this forum, first there's those who are pretending not to be glory hunters and shouting "WE WILL WIN THE LEAGUE LIKE ALWAYS BEFORE AYE?" and then there's the realistic people like phil, meh, manufan and prollly method aswell.
and then there's ben.. (H)

I have to say I believed in the resurrection before todays events, but now it seems to be almost sealed for Arsenal..
anything can still happen, but it seems to be that the title goes to gooners this year..

I watched that match too and you sure have a valid point there. (N)(H)(Y)

Yeah, manufan's statements' are pretty concrete. He's also being realistic. His post was probably the most intelligent thing I've read all day on this board.
