I noticed that the English always consider the way they play as the way to play a game. There is always this mentality that English players don't dive and I think this is the reason why the media labels certain players as cheats and English refs make bad decisions in terms of penalties. When you see an English player dive, no one ever mentions anything. They never gain a reputation even though they do it repeatedly. But whenever a foreigner comes into the league and they dive once then they are immediately labelled a diver. Some of the infamous divers are Pires, Ronaldo, Diouf and now Reyes. Yes most of them dive but you never see them mention any english players like NEVILLE and Jeffers. And now these players can't even get penalties awarded to them like Reyes. He did not become the most fouled player in La Liga by diving. But that one questionable penalty in the League Cup gave him a reputation and they didn't give him anythign in the game last week. And I think that's why Arsenal always gets labelled as cheats. They are considered a foreign team compared to the rest of the teams and the English media and refs will always label them as cheats. But teams like Man Utd and Liverpool will never get that reputation as they have English players as their core.
Also I don't get why English people get worked up about certain players from other countries that want to play for them. Someone said in this forum that it doesn't sound right for a name like Edu on an English shirt. So I guess people like Shola Ameobi shouldn't play for England then. It's not like these players, Edu and Cudicini, wanted money or anything. You guys ever think that they love England? After all they are living there and making a living there.
I don't want to sound Anti-England or anything but I just hate it when a certain country or group thinks that they're better than everyone else. Just want to know if you people agree or disagree with this.
