hm, i dont think we're ready for a world cup JUST yet, but I hope we win it before i die (thats a good 60-80 years for us to win it lol).

anyway, not ALL brazilians are good footballers. plus, what if you're brazilian and you grew up in brazil, but you've lived your adult life in another country and you consider yourself of that country.

i think if you want to play for another country then you have to give up your dual citizenship and only keep the citizenship for the country you plan on playing for.

btw, about germany? they may have players of "different" ethnicities, but asamoah is STILL the only black player lol

You answer your own question... you must be a citizen of the country in order to play for the national team. Just because you like a country or youhave lived there doesn't mean you should play for the NT.

There aren't many black people in Germany... I guess it's hard to find some that play football.

i dont agree with national teams calling up players that are not of that nationality.
well technically its not players that aren't german coz they are...

i think the worst is the French team though lol.

anyway back to the topic... there's a lot less diving and trickery in the English game than any other league... and it's no coincidence that the emergence of trickery in the Premierleague coincides with the massive influx of foreign players.

I believe we read from the gospel according to Christian Dailly on this. :)

Leave all that up to club football.

At least in England those who dive are called "divers".

In Spain they are called "intelligent players".
indeed ... that's where the difference lies.
it's the same in France.

You forgot Freier (Polish) ;)

If you live in a country for a time and you want to get this country's nationality than you should try to get t. But if you just want to hav it, because you want to play for the National Team I don't think it's OK.

Scholl definitely has some turkish roots.

The whole U18 team consists 50% of turkish player. I personally don't mind it because they are more skilled than the normal blond hair guys.

Also I don't get why English people get worked up about certain players from other countries that want to play for them. Someone said in this forum that it doesn't sound right for a name like Edu on an English shirt. So I guess people like Shola Ameobi shouldn't play for England then. It's not like these players, Edu and Cudicini, wanted money or anything. You guys ever think that they love England? After all they are living there and making a living there.

It has more to do with them not being good enough for their own countries, and wanting to experience international soccer. They should just accept their not good enough, and leave it at that. I fear this could be a very bad thing for soccer.
