hm, i dont think we're ready for a world cup JUST yet, but I hope we win it before i die (thats a good 60-80 years for us to win it lol).
anyway, not ALL brazilians are good footballers. plus, what if you're brazilian and you grew up in brazil, but you've lived your adult life in another country and you consider yourself of that country.
i think if you want to play for another country then you have to give up your dual citizenship and only keep the citizenship for the country you plan on playing for.
btw, about germany? they may have players of "different" ethnicities, but asamoah is STILL the only black player lol
well technically its not players that aren't german coz they are...Originally posted by Sanel
Asamoah - Ghanian
Klose - Polish
Neuville - Swiss
Kuranyi - Brazilian/German
Bobic - Slovenian
i dont agree with national teams calling up players that are not of that nationality.
indeed ... that's where the difference lies.Originally posted by panxoman
At least in England those who dive are called "divers".
In Spain they are called "intelligent players".

You answer your own question... you must be a citizen of the country in order to play for the national team. Just because you like a country or youhave lived there doesn't mean you should play for the NT.
There aren't many black people in Germany... I guess it's hard to find some that play football.

Also I don't get why English people get worked up about certain players from other countries that want to play for them. Someone said in this forum that it doesn't sound right for a name like Edu on an English shirt. So I guess people like Shola Ameobi shouldn't play for England then. It's not like these players, Edu and Cudicini, wanted money or anything. You guys ever think that they love England? After all they are living there and making a living there.
