Well, I thought t was a cracking game to be honest. Yeah it was the familar story of us peppering their goal with missed chances, and it was a dissapointment that we didn't put at least one away, but at least the unbeaten run at home continues.
Its been just over a week since Jose left, and I think its absurd that people expect to see a seamless adjustment. This is Grant's SECOND league game in charge FFS, and some fans need to be realistic and realise that not only will it take time for the players to settle down, but also time is needed to allow Grant and the players to work together too.
Grants system might have looked a little unbalanced but the guy needs to see all the players that he has at his disposal, actually play.
I cannot believe how some fans expect instant results after 2 games in charge.
Sheva's contribution was good today and NO, he didn't get booed when he was substituted. Quite the opposite in fact, he was applauded. I heard some boos coming from the "prawn sandwich brigade", although for the life of me I couldn't see what they were booing at. They are tossers anyway. These same pricks began to leave 15 minutes from the end too. I hope they don't bother to return to be truthful.
They were also the pricks singing Jose's name through the game and it was cool when some better fans tore down the Jose banner they were sitting behind. That shut them up.
Drogs red card was a blow. He was unsurprisingly rusty after his layoff and the ref over reacted in my opinion. His foot was high but it wasn't dangerous. Ah well he'll get a little more rest for his knee now, so thats cool. He worked his socks off though and deserved the applause when he had to walk.
The injury to JT is a bastard but hopefully they will fit him with a protective mask and he'll play on. We need him there for the England games too.
The problem is, we have a lot of fans who only began following us when we were winning and playing well, and now we are having a hard time they can't handle it.
Personally I couldn't give a toss if we don't achieve much this season. For me the important thing is that we get through this mess in one piece. I've experienced more downs than ups as a Chelsea supporter and it amazes me that after having 3 pretty good seasons, suddenly everyone expects the status quo to be maintained. Even when the coach walks out they still expect more of the same. That's not just unrealistic, thats stupid, dumb, ignorant and pathetic.
Grant is right when he say's that MOST of the fans are behind the club. They are. Its a small minority of newbies that are not helping the situation. We would be better off if they just simply decide to go and follow some other team. Thats what glory hunters are supposed to do after all.
Syan.....I know sometimes that the media is all you have to keep up with the Chelsea news, but take it all with a pinch of salt mate. They hate Chelsea generally so if they see any opportunity to put us down, they will do that with gusto. You need to ignore it.
C'mon you BLUES........
