I don't know how many of you actually watch "Fantastico", but it was interesting to see those deaf guys lip-read the stuff the players were saying.

Parreira was fantastic, after Ronaldo scored: "They (press/supporters) tell me to take him off. Take it up the arse! Go **** themselves!".

It'd be funny to know what he said in today's match. I don't remember seeing such an appaling performance.

when france scored their goal, who saw roberto carlos, not do anything and stay still and not go back to mark henry...which is why henry was all alone?!?!?! i think we should point him out as the traitor he is!!!!!

Heh, don't be mad at him... just cause he gave away the corner that led to the first French goal in 1998 (and quite frankly, one that he should have avoided easily) and then let Henry free this time? (H)

Why on Earth did he have to mark Henry though? He's short and can't defend, you can't possibly assign him to mark the opposition's main striker

The problem is, he didnt get beaten by Henry or something like that. He was messing with his socks, not paying attention at all to the play, whilst Henry was running behind him to score. Now tell me, how a professional football player, who plays defense, doesnt LOOK at the play at all? Everything was ridiculous at the display.

And oh, Ronaldo IS untouchable indeed. Or was, he's probably retiring from international football now. Where's that guy who was arguing with me now eh? :junior:

I know, he should have at least gone into the box and try to make things difficult for Henry, who had a tap in. But it'd be much wiser to have someone else back there to man mark Henry. And someone who can actually defend... I mean, there were 5 French players at the box and 3 Brazilians... I don't think they were playing the offside trap at all (it'd be stupid if they did).

Juninho's announced his international retirement, but Mr. Untouchable has already mentioned he wants to play the next World Cup.

Looking back at the tournament, the only half decent players were the defenders, Ze Roberto, Gilberto Silva and Robinho. Lucio was awesome, and Juan was great. Dida looked shaky at times, but he was rarely under threat, and there was nothing he could do against Henry.

Without Cafu, the RB position is now a bit shaky again. Cicinho is good enough, but there's no replacement. Paulo Baier is almost as old as Cafu. Corinthians' Eduardo, who I thought would turn out great, has disappeared, but he's still young.

He was VERY upset at not playing at all during the first two matches, then he did ok against Japan and was back to the banch against Ghana. I think he doesn't want the bench, and if that's true, then it's better for him and the NT that he retires.

EDIT: Roberto Carlos also retired from international football.

Juninho is a professional. He's 30 (or 31, don't remember) so he won't be in the next WC. I just wished he had better luck with the NT, he deserved it (:/)

He's gone, gone, GONE!

GOOD RIDDANCE. Go plant your grapes, man.

This post was just mandatory, including the bad joke above.

Miss him at Sao Paulo, Daniel David? (H)

I sure do miss his time at Corinthians, and I'd welcome him anyday... yes, that's how desperate Corinthians' situation is.

what do u guys think abou dunga becoming the brazilian head coach?? i think he wont last a month, he has no prior experience, and this is probably temporary, becuase lets face it, u really think some1 with no experience as a coach will go through the copa america or even qualifiers? me thinks this is like having ronaldinho be player/coach...haha lets see how far this goes.......

If Van Basten made it to the World Cup why not? I like the idea of ex-players being the NT coaches. Parreira has a life-time of experience and we saw how it went. That's what you get for releasing a book on "how to create winner teams" a month before the World Cup, Mr. Parreira.

I like Dunga's appointment. Let's see how we fair against Norway.

Dunga.. well... I like him as a player, but I'm not sure about him taking on the NT. Let's just wait and see, and I hope he has a fairly good time with the side.
