Brazilian legend Jairzinho: "Ronaldo eats too much".

World Cup champion Jairzinho interviewed by German magazine Sportbild: "He needs to relax constantly. That's when he eats too much. It's sad what's happening to my boy."

"He was too skinny. Nowadays his weight isn't muscular, but fat."

Jairzinho "discovered" Ronaldo in 1989 in a futsal tournament, and took him to Sao Cristovao. He managed Ronaldo's career up to his transfer to Cruzeiro.

"He's above Klose [though]", concluded Jairzinho

One of the biggest mysteries of the Brazilian National Team in the World Cup campaign in Germany was revealed this Wednesday: Ronaldo's weight.

According to physio Moracy Sant'Anna, the Real Madrid player weights 90.5 kg, 4 less than when he joined the side. The information was given to "Lance" newspaper. The player is 183 cm tall.

Lance: http://www.lancenet.com.br/copa2006/selecoes/C06/noticias/06-06-21/385561.asp (may require free registration)

Lance mentions this:

Sant'Anna: From the day he joined to the eve of the match against Australia, he had lost 3.2 kg. From then, he lost another one. He weights now 90.5 kg, half a kg above the ideal for his fat percentage. But a kg more or a kg less is irrelevant in these situations.

The interview was given after the training session at the FIFA World Cup Stadium in Dortmund today.

Just found out that his fat percentage is 11.8. Just so you know. In 2002, his weight was 82 kg, so that's why FIFA and CBF show that as his weight.

Kibe,

You got your wish Ronaldo is out vs Japan so is Emerson and Cafu for
Robinho, Gilberto Silva , and Cicinho.
I really thought this was his chance to really get it going vs a japan open for goals since they play offensive looking to win :|
Im sure Robinho will play great and so will brasil, plus i got a feeling ronaldinho will be unleashed :rockman:

my wish would be Ronaldo to be left on the bench for the remaining of the World Cup, but that ain't happening, even if Robinho scores 80 in a 120-0 win.

Also, I'd like to see the subs playing, like it was against Costa Rica in 2002. Players with something to prove, eager to get their places. If your info is correct, then Juninho won't play, and boy, does he deserve a place.

As a final wish, let's just hope we play Ghana. African sides make Dida... unsettled.

EDIT: Turns out Juninho will play, Gilberto too, as well as the changes previously mentioned by Paulista.

Nice. If I wanted Brazil to win, I'd be excited.

I agree with the subs part, perreira could put 10 subs in and we would play better than
the first 2 games, i too want to see players like juninho(especially so R.Carlos never takes a free kick again)Fred, Gilberto, cicinho.......
but i wanted to see ronaldo in this game especially since i really thought this was going to be the game to break out,
I feel his so close to catching form&fittness back
