That might be the best for Kimmich but not for Germany, they already have many great midfielders but no RBs.

I saw him play during the Euros of course, but he was kind of restricted in his role... I have to say, Renato Sanches is just one hell of a physical specimen. Not a lot of players who look so strong, but can run all day like him. Still not entirely convinced that he should be in the Bayern midfield just yet, but physically he certainly looks the part.

He gives the ball away so often and in such dangerous positions. Dribbles in the middle of the pitch without cover.

This is exactly how Pogba is playing and its irritating.

I actually imagine Renato looks an awful lot like Pogba did as an 18 year old behind Marchisio and Vidal at Juventus.

Ribery and Robben both scored today. Contracts are done at the end of this year. Could be a nice swansong for both. Rumor is only one will remain at the club next year.

I actually think Sanches will be better than Pogba.

Vintage Robben goal and Ribery goal was one of the best I've recently seen ... still great players, hope they stay fit ...

Well, as I said, so far he is not impressive as a football, just as an athlete. He needs to improve significantly to play for Bayern.

He is at a club where he will get the opportunity to play with quality players and learn the game, if he is as mentally strong as he is physically he will be very good.

I don't think what ShiftyPowers is referring to is his mentality. I think he's talking more about his tactical sense of the game which needs improving.

He's definitely not mentally weak, just the opposite. In my opinion he seems to be beaming with confidence on the field, just as the Euros showed for example. He seemed to play like he had been playing against the opponents he faced over there throughout all his career (which hasn't been that long to be honest, professionally at least). Same at Benfica.

Proper man management and guidance from his manager and elder teammates will help him in tactical aspect of the game. And like you said, he's at the perfect club for that.

You can't expect an 18-year-old to come and start dominating things in a different league and environment right away, although it has happened. It'll take some time and he has all the potential in the world to do that.

I know what he meant.

Mental is tactical, I was never speaking on his level of confidence.

Kimmich with an 88th minute winner! 1-0 BAYERN!!

Looked like it was going to be one of those games where we do everything, but just can't get a goal. THEN KIMMICH!
