Well hey, at least Ballack is clearly on the decline over in London. I think we're better off taking these growing pains without him as opposed to basically guaranteeing him a starting spot for the next 4 years at Bayern. We may not have had a true replacement this season (sorry to van Bommel, but it's true), but we can find one. I think we'd be in worse shape in the long run had we signed Ballack to the record deal that he turned down.
Imagine we'd be stuck with a 30 year old Ballack for the next four years for €32M. 
Lucio, Deisler and Podolski probably return to the squad for the Stuttgart game on Saturday. Hargreaves will be back in training next week.
We'll see if Magath has the balls to bench Lucio. Our defense has been much better with Demichelis.

I wouldnt mind having ballack back...at chelsea he is a different player, but he is a classy player watching some of his recent matches. He might not score as much for chelsea but he does start everything for them. But yea once u hit 30, you wont get better, you will just drop.
Hopefuilly Hoeness is just talking out of his ass when he said he wont buy anyone in the winter transfer window. We have yet to see our full team potential. we still have deisler poldi and hargreaves. Who knows we might just wake up after winter break, but will that be too late?

Ballack? Great player but it's part of our past.
I'd wish a new defender, a new midfielder (what Karimi and Julio dos Santos can do for FCB? Nothing), and a new striker cause in January Barcellona will ask us Pizza to replace Eto'o or Messi in Angriff.

We're just four points behind Stuttgart who won't keep that up because they're far too inexpereinced and three points behind Bremen. Well considering we've been sucking pretty much all season long it's not that bad.
In the CL we'll most likely top our group. Then we have to pray that Bremen go through in order to avoid the possiblity of facing Barca in the next round.
Lucio, Görlitz, Hargreaves, Deisler and Poldi are coming back soon, Ismael in January-February. I'm eager to see a MvB-Owen midfield combo with Deisler and Schweini on the flanks.
Our team will be solid at full strength. The management should take their time to make a few smart transfers during the summer. Two creative midfielders (depending on Deisler's development) and another young striker as a longterm replacement for Makaay should be first priority.
We need to get rid of Santa Cruz, Karimi, and dos Santos. Those guys are not Bayern quality and I doubt they would make the squad under normal circumstances. The latter iss till young so a loan deal sounds reasonable to me.
Pizarro should be kept if there aren't any better options out there.

I'd rather keep dos Santos and sell Pizzaro. It'd be really nice if we could just go out and buy a bunch of German NT players (even if they're not current NT players) such as Hitzelsberger, Mertesaeker, Schneider, Hinkel, Rost or Hilderbrand or Rensing, Klose, etc (Not those guys exact but you get the point). We wouldn't have to pay these guys a ridiculous amount of money, they'd be obtainable, and we'd definetely have enough depth to win the Bundesliga (we're not winning the CL any time soon anyways).

treble, if you want to see more German players go watch the German nt regularly. It's worth it at the moment. Bayern are a football club and not a national team. It's nice to have German players but quality should always be above nationality.
German talent isn't cheap. The most interesting player are at Bremen and we'd have to break the bank to get any of them. They're slowly becoming the second richest club in Germany due to their CL appearances. And to be honest, why would Klose, Mertesacker or Borowski leave Bremen for Bayern (except for the cash of course)?
Rensing is our current second keeper and will success Kahn in a year or two by the way...

Oh sorry, I know that Rensing plays for Bayern, I was thinking of another youth German goalie.
Anyways, Franck Ribery probably couldn't fit in our team with the way that he plays. I haven't watched many Marseille gams of late but in the World Cup, he always looked like he was playing on the flank and trying to go full speed. He was way too tired by 70 minutes and didn't seem to know how to slow down and play his game at a lower pace.

Ribery was amazing at the World Cup! And Bayern has played with wingers for as long as I can remember.
However I don't think he's much of a playmaker. I like the idea of him and Basti on the flanks, but can we please replace Mehmet Scholl before he dies?
