Solid win. Stuttgart only came here to put eleven men behind the ball. Nice assist by van Bommel, you gotta love his spirit.

Deisler said:
No they were not. Gomes was simply faster. What a finish. Is he entitled to play the NT team?
Aye. He also has a Spanish passport but will play for Germany. He's already being linked with Bayern but I'm not sure if we can develop two young strikers at the same time.

What do you mean we can't develop two young strikers at the same time. Wouldn't it be more helpful to have a pair of these guys, especially with them playing on the same NT and club? It's not like we don't have room for another striker, specially after they sell Santa Cruz.

Makes me sad that Sportfreunde Stiller (a German band who's favourite team is Bayern or 1860) made a single called Ich Roque and had Santa Cruz in the music video as well.

Haha, they also made a single called "Lauth anhören" and Benny Lauth sadly turned out to be as crap as Roque.

The club's aims are to win the league and to compete in the CL. You aren't gonna win anything with a bunch of inexperienced and inconsistent young players. One for each department is enough. Rensing, Ottl, Schweini, Poldi - that's a solid core of young talent.

We need proven players. Gomez needs to prove that he can perform on this level for a longer period of time. If he does that we can still buy him in two years.

Pizarro is set to extend his contract during the winterbreak for much less than his initial wage demands.

Dos Santos will be loaned out for probably one and a half years. There are four teams from Germany and Spain interested in him.

Lahm is not gonna make the trip to the CL game is Moskva. He looked tired lately and needs a rest.

I hope Pizza could stay with us 'til the end of his career, it's hard to find another like him! He said he wishes to stay and play in Bundesliga only with FCB, but I'm afraid on Barcellona's offer this winter, they need him after Eto'o injury, and Messi too, also he scores always important goals, as yesterday gegen VFB.

Makaay is untouchable now that he has find the right dimension, he's not only a striker but can be playmaker too.
If we spend 30 millions hope it could be for Luca Toni of AC Florenz, but we need another great defender, Micho is better in the back midfield position.
Also, FCB 2 - Stuttgart 1, that all for now.
Schalke 26, Bremen and VFB 24, FCB 23, don't know which team is favourite, I continue to think Werder but not so sure anyway.

Bayern Munich to launch £20M Toni bid
tribalfooball.com - November 19, 2006

Bayern Munich are being linked with Fiorentina striker Luca Toni.

Only last week, Bayern supremo Karl-Heinz Rummenigge revealed plans of splashing out a massive £20 million on a "great player" in the January market.

Kicker says Bayern's top target is Fiorentina ace Toni.

We are not gonna spend 30 million on Luca Toni. Jesus ******* Christ, that's insane. 15 million max for a player his age. And if our top target isn't a French midfielder I give up.

I'm speechless.. our total lack of creativity will obviously be solved with yet another striker :nape: Who needs a playermaker anyway, strikers can do it all by themselves.

What a dumb move.

We need no new players but only a new SPIELKULTUR, we have many champions in KADER.
But......immagine an attack with:

MAKAAY-TONI-PODOLSKI :sun:

Who's supposed to feed them? Schweini is playing horrible at AMC and looks tired although Magath and his teammates keep praising him. I guess they just want to avoid playing Santa Claus.

Anyway, Fiorentina's President says Luca Toni will extend his contract and finish his career over there. Thank god.

I can't believe we are looking at more strikers. We already have Makaay, Podolski, Pizzaro and Santa Cruz. I know Makaay is getting old, but Podolski should be his successor, not another 30 year old. When Makaay leaves or Pizzaro chooses to leave, then we can look at someone. We need another good midfielder, prefferably a center attacking mid. I don't think we need another winger but I'll take that rather than a forward.

What I'm wondering is if we get a great mid, what will we do with all of our players, especially when Deisler is 90-100%? We need to play Schweinsteiger, van Bommel, Hargreaves, and probably Deisler if he's fit. Who will be the odd man out? I'm guessing Deisler will be used as a sub even if he's fit for the rest of the year. Him, Schweini and Brazzo rotating would be nice.

We could play flat in the midfield:

Schweini/Deisler/Brazzo - van Bommel - Hargreaves - Ribery

And what about Alex from Turkey? He's a creative attacking mid in Turkey. I'd give him a try as he wouldn't cost too much.

The thing is that we're looking for a proven player that would have an immediate (or near that) impact. We have enough of Karimi-type of players in the team.

Reports suggest Manchester United could allow striker Alan Smith to join Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich on loan. Smith is struggling for first team football at Old Trafford after a long spell out with a broken leg, and United boss Alex Ferguson feels he should go out on loan to improve his fitness and match sharpness.

Who the fuck do they think we are? Man City? Everton?

That's not gonna happen anyway. If he doesn't make it this time and gets injured again I'm pretty sure Bayern will offload him next summer. He's one of the top earners and plays like 10 games a year.

We need to play Schweinsteiger, van Bommel, Hargreaves, and probably Deisler if he's fit. Who will be the odd man out?
Schweini/Ribery -- van Bommel/Ottl -- Hargreaves/Demichelis -- Ribery/Deisler

I like that rotation although those guys are all right footed.

If we sign Bastürk we can play the diamond again.

---------- van Bommel/Hargreaves -------

-- Deisler/Ribery ------------- Schweini/Ribery

----------------- Bastürk -----------

Karimi will be shipped back to Dubai, dos Santos will be loaned out, Scholl is retiring. We should give Brazzo a final contract extension or else the squad would be a bit thin.

Okay, enough with these future lineups. This is not the Madrid thread.

Ribery? KEIN THEMA, but I'm not so sure, van der Vaart is better, but it's difficult to find a player who can himself change the FC Bayern's way to play, we can't get Ronaldinho or other stars, then who's coming to replace Scholli, Karimi, etxetera? Boooooo

p.s. we have to start thinking the right replacement of Olli Kahn, for me not Rensing.

Smith?
Yeas please. He is an X factor and we need one so desperately lately. Loan him with the option of buying.
I think Man U is trying to be nice so they can sneatch Owen from us.

Man I wanna watch a game in that stadium (or any European stadium). That one in certain though because I heard that there are a lot of cool effects inside the stadium as well and it's all modernized, etc so I really wish I could go but I live across the Atlantic so it's not happening anytime soon.

And what makes you guys think that we're gonna have Ribery with Marseille selling him so easily? Who do you think Marseille is, Rennes? Nantes? Le Mans?

Lets just be happy with the squad we've got right now and wait till the winter break. Plus, you've gotta remember that it's hard to judge what you need when your squad has been injured for such a large portion of the season.

Let's see: We have the money,
Marseille don't want to sell him to their domestic rival Lyon,
Arsenal were the only big team seriously interested in him last summer but imo those positions are well covered by Hleb and Rosicky.

Lets just be happy with the squad we've got right now and wait till the winter break.
We're talking about next summer. Nothing's gonna happen in the winterbreak except that dos Santos will be loaned out.

Plus, you've gotta remember that it's hard to judge what you need when your squad has been injured for such a large portion of the season.
Hargreaves replacing Ottl doesn't solve our lack of creativity. Deisler will get injured sooner or later anyway so let's rather not count on him.

The papers are reporting Bayern are looking at a star player from Porto. Quaresma, Anderson or Lucho.

__________

The probable lineup for the Spartak game tomorrow:

------------------ Kahn ---------

Sagnol -- Demichelis -- van Buyten -- Lell

--- van Bommel ---- Ottl ----- Salihamidzic

------------- Schweinsteiger ----------

---------- Makaay ----- Pizarro

Lucio and Lahm stayed in Munich.
