I don't understand what is the point of your posts. If you are trying to be a troll, it is the most transparent and half-hearted attempt I have ever seen. I assume you were trying to be funny and nonchalant, then changed your mind, deleted the post, thought it over and decided to go ahead with your original intent so you came back 3 hours later and posted the same exact thing, unaware that I would be able to see both. Then you saw me calling you out, which meant that you could no longer appear nonchalant, since you took the effort to return 3 hours later to make the same joke.

Not knowing that I could see deleted posts, you assumed that I had seen your original post and remembered it and resolved to play it off as if I was crazy, unprepared for the fact that I could provide actual evidence. Now you come back and see the image you're constructing dissolve and decide that the only way forward is to try and make it all seem like a self-evident game, thus avoiding the issue of you returning to make the same post entirely. This is a risky strategy, since it relies on people accepting your version of things, which makes no logical sense. After all, how can you argue that something is self-evident and thus necessitating no explanation if you were the one to ask for the clarification? Ultimately, you would have fared better if you had just come up with some excuse for the double post (you're not the first person to do something like this), but just brought more attention to yourself. I actually hadn't noticed you took that 3-hour pause to consider the merit of your joke until I had to pull up the pics for you. I just thought you did a double-take and Dan somehow got two rapid-fire posts in that period of time, but what we have something else entirely.

I look forward to your attempts to spin this, though my years of experience on this forum suggest that the best course of action you can take is the Xifio route, where you just refuse to comment further once you've been caught out. Thus you limit the visibility and play your misstep would receive through prolonged discussion. Or, double-down on the nonchalance and continue to quote me while only adding vague, one to three word posts, attempting to make me seem absurd in comparison. That would obviate the fact that I am already absurd by comparison, in general, and is unlikely to pay large dividends, but is a safe approach nonetheless.

Personally, I am hoping for a tirade, we are long due for one.
