Just got these shoes. I was looking for shoes that would be used like a canvas, really different from anything else out. I looked at shoes from Echo first, but these just blew them away, IMO. I bought them at a local skater store here, but I wish I would have looked at the website first, I would have bought the Tomos instead of the black ones maybe.

off ebay last week, abit different i guess:

Not bad. A little too flashy for me to personally wear, but definitely cool. I have no problem with being a little flashy, but those are just a little over the top for me. White on whites baby!

White on white kicks make for the best footwear for me. They go with everything. Well, I also have these nice Polo tan boots and some black ones. But I'm able to mix them up, and always look good if I decided to dress up.

I (all of a sudden) have this thing for vintage/retro clothing and have been collecting different stuff for a few months now. I buy from eBay and thrift stores.

Bought something nice from a fleat market a week ago.

Ctrl Rockers, Senor Slim, a bit different coloured, almost not used, in great condition, 6€.

Just bought a REALLY nice 7 Diamonds white sport shirt, and a couple pair of 7 Jeans for All Mankind. My Grandpa send me a big check for finishing my first year of law school, so I'm blowing most of it on designer clothes. So I have a couple of questions:

I still haven't bought that blazer, any new recommendations? Not looking to spend much at all on it, because I don't think I'll wear it much.

What kind of shoes do I wear with designer jeans and a nice sport shirt? I mean, aside from white on white air force ones or reebok classics. I want shoes that will make women perk up and notice, and this would be fine if I lived in Chicago because I could go to a store like Steve Madden, and just let a clerk hook me up. Unfortunately, I'm in Milwaukee, so I can't do that. What nice shoes should I go for? Any ideas? Again, NOT SNEAKERS.

Finally, I'm really curious about higher end clothing right now. For example, I have always thought the pure black Lacoste polo always looked really sharp, so I'm going to get one. I know at least something about polos, but I know much less about sport shirts (button downs). Who makes the best button downs for more casual wear (i.e. not stuff you wear with an Armani suit, but still really good quality)? It doesn't really have to be that expensive, but where a woman would say "he didn't get that at TJ Maxx, and they don't even sell that at some of the mid-range department stores... nice!" It doesn't have to have an alligator out front like Lacoste; I'm not necessarily looking for a label to be out front, but just really good quality. I'm the most interested in this. If I could find a fashion line that makes awesome button downs in that $50-75 range with high end quality, it would be awesome.

Just bought these, both by Steve Madden: Haha, always good to ask for advice and then not check back on it.

The second shoe will probably give me an inch, making me stand 6'2''.... awesome. Extra height is always a good thing for a guy under 6'5''

Not if you're 6'3" and your gf is 5'2" :bob::read::munch:

Oh and with button down shirts take your time and browse around. Develop an idea of what styles and even materials to look for and develop a clear idea in your head of what you want. When I first got into the whole button down thing I rushed out and bought a whole bunch of shirts that just look tacky and sh1t in retrospect and I wouldn't consider wearing them out anywhere even remotely nice anymore. Better shirts tend to be dearer but there is both expensive trash and discount gold around.

EDIT: The funny thing, PP, is that while I'm relatively tall (and as I gather, you are too), I have a preference for women who are about 5'4''. I don't know what it is, but 5'3-5'6 is just perfect in my opinion, and for whatever reason I feel bad for shorter men. Now, again, not for shorter men in general, my boy Joe is pretty short and that dude pulls primo tail, but for short men who don't have rockstar confidence (as Joe does). Because I've also noticed that in many instances the shorter girls 5'6 and below are the biggest height snobs. Now obviously if they see an alpha male like Joe who happens to be a little shorter than 6', they won't care, but an average dude will get shut out immediately without 6' height. And I DEFINITELY capitalize on that. And to be honest, every single man I know below 5'9 has bitched about height screwing them............ EXCEPT JOE. So I guess what I'm saying is that for all of you shorter guys out there who bitch about height there's a couple things you can do: you can buy taller shoes (which I DO and I'm 6'1''), or you can get ROCKSTAR confidence (which I also think I have, and Joe definitely has). Ideally you should do both because both are successful.

Yeah, this is basically why I ask for advice, and from people I know well on this forum, there's only a few that sport the classy button downs on a regular basis.

I've found that most prestigious designers are obsessed with checkered patterns and stupid bull**** like that, when honestly all I want in a sport shirt is one solid color with a very slight pattern in the shirt that is the same color as the main fabric. So for example, a white shirt, with white stripes. I know it sounds redundant and stupid when you type it out, but it looks really good. I don't necessarily have anything against stripes, but I'm looking for a more solid color. Honestly, I want shirts that say "I have money, but I'm not flashy", but the trick here is to be flashy about the shirts being expensive, while not being pretentious. I got a gift of the cash, so I want to be THE MAN in terms of quality (basically, that women will recognize, but men can't tell apart from a $10 shirt from Marshalls'), but I just don't know what to do for sport shirts. Everything else is pretty solid, but I'm having a problem with shirts. And again, NO POLOS, I like polos, but I'm comfortable buying them, I need advice on button downs.

I'm going to get these next week, decided to kick it old school. (H)

I got a pair of shorts similar to those, by Blend. Army green.

Also, I've bought a pair of grey, tight fit Batistini jeans and some Converse Allstar ripoffs by Jack & Jones. Jeans cost 18€, shoes 15€. (Y)

I'm a bargain hunter. (H)
