The SG Video Games Thread

managed to find the GTA bundle in a different store and got that instead. played for like 5 hours last night and had tons of fun, especially after I got used to the aiming and driving. haven't played the series since San Andreas to my shame.

by the way, add me on PSN: abrakadaver07. also managed to grab Injustice for free and War Thunder from the store.

I played the second Witcher, it was great, but combat mechanics were kinda sloppy and it was bad optimized, my PC really struggled for decent frame rate even on pretty low settings. Looking forward to The Wild Hunt on PS4, though. It looks great. That 35 minutes gameplay demonstration showed great promise. Too bad they delayed it for May, but I guess nobody wants to go "the Ubisoft's road". Their half-products (AC Unity the latest one) are really shame for gaming industry.

By the way... Naughty Dog.

Anyone played The Witcher? (1 and 2)

I hope this lives up to the incredible hype it's being given.

I might buy a PS4 for this game

Do you know if there'll be some kind of save game import like there was from 1 to 2? (and like Dragon Age, for example)

been playing Assasin's Creed on XB1 while awaiting PSN to get back online ... can't see how Lizard Squad thought they'd be anything but hated after spoiling x-mas long weekend gaming opportunities for millions ...

Didn't Lizard Squad announced they will put down PSN and XBL, few weeks ago? I guess nobody took them serious. I still can't sign to PSN.

can't really protect against ddos. and they took Steam down earlier this month iirc.

got Diablo 3 recently to play with my gf cause Injustice got boring pretty fast and she can't handle FIFA yet. the PC version didn't really impress me but I must say I haven't touched my other games these past days. probably Reaper of Souls fixed some of the issues cause the loot system actually makes sense now. also playing it with a controller feels surprisingly natural.

gotta take a few days off to finish GTA though.

Went ahead and got Madden 15 and NCAA 13, mostly because whenever I play sports simulations I like to build dynasties but I mostly like the scouting and filling out the squad part. I figure recruitment would mean that I never get to that point like in FM where you already have the best 25 players and lose interest.

Played a bit with Stanford, understand college ball a bit more now, and think I'm gonna try a real challenge and pick the worst team and try build up. I like the idea of playing a what-if and inserting Yale or Harvard in the game as the worst team and work with that. To those familiar with NCAA, what sort of procedure do FCS teams go through to become FBS teams and how do conference changes work? I figured I would make the team an independent and after a few seasons and maybe a bowl or two insert them into a weak conference and after more success move into a tough conference. Do things work any way like that? Also, what logic exists in teams being in a certain conference? I assume a northeastern team like Yale would never be in the SEC for example.

One think I'm looking forward to is to do a create a player and take the,m through senior year high school and then once NCAA is done transport them to my Madden 15 game. Might even do a career thread about it. Unfortunately the game cam is fixed and it makes playing CB a pain in the ass, which would've been sweet because I love getting picks, moreso than TDs.

Been playing Dragon Age: Inquisition. Usual badassery. Bioware are the sh*t.

I envy you. I can't decide between Dragon Age, The Last of Us, Far Cry, Shadow of Mordor, Battlefield, Destiny, heck even CoD as the next game to get. and I still haven't finished GTA, nor Diablo. also got InFamous First Light for free yesterday. :(

how I wish I had more time.
