Optimization is the strongest advantage consoles have over PC.

Yep, but PCs have the advantage of being able to edit content much easier.

Watch Dogs is victim of his own marketing. Yet, it's a good game, imo. I've been playing it a lot till I got GTA 5 few days ago. It's definitely not a game that will define "next-gen", like Ubisoft hyped it. I actually wanted to trade or sell WD after few days of playing. It has slow and boring start, but later in the game, it was getting more and more intense and fun. The story is not convincing and unused potential is so obvious the more you progress throughout the story line. Shame really. I got it for really cheap, so, it's cool. But GTA 5 is sick. It's so detailed, massive map, tons of content... Amazing. And you have First person mode now, which is cool, but I still prefer default.

I want to get Skyrim and GTA 5 but I got GTA 4 in the summer and only played for fice minutes. The jew in me feels it would be an admittance of a bad investment if I got them now without playing 4. All of Rockstar's games are fun but I never get how people can finish them. You get distrCted easily and if you stop playing for a week you forget who the characters even are.

To be fair, GTA 4 never drew me in. My brother got it on release and I attempted to play it maybe twice. The prospect of an eastern European immigrant in NY character just didn't sound fun to me.

GTA 5 is a different animal. Being able to change between characters and roaming in the massive world, doing side missions and the story line. It's just a great game. Not to mention that it has three different endings, which gives it a decent replay value. Online never drew me in but there's that, too.

If a lazy Mexican tells me a game is cool because it has a lot of stuff to do, it must be worth a shot.

I agree. I was worried about three characters meaning less attachment to each, but they're three GOOD characters. Niko I never cared for.

I pounced on extended Black Friday / early Cyber Monday deals to upgrade my PS3 to PS4 (glacier white), along with a handful of heavily discounted games ... already looking forward to the No Man's Sky release next year ...

just ordered my PS4 bundle with The Last of Us (GTA and Far Cry were sold out everywhere here). aiming to get FIFA 15 too tomorrow, though is it cheaper on PSN than from a store or something?

The Last of Us Remastered is an awesome game ... that it starts right here in Austin, TX is a cool bonus ... :D

FIFA 15 is also better on the ignite engine on the PS4 -- well, better than the atrociously arcade-y PS3 version ...

I finished The Last of Us on PS4 and its really the best game I played on next-gen so far.

Try playing Metro Redux it was really good too. NFS Rivals is very boring.

Oh and there was an instance in Fifa 15 were Barca B was promoted to La Liga what the fuck??

Serious question, what's the economy like in Austin these days and how does it project in 2 years? I haven't heard one bad thing about the city and so I think I might consider moving there when I get to choose where I live again.

the city's booming ... it's gone from a college town to being a trendy, young professional's playground, and that's not going to change any time soon ... if you like counterculture, live music, movie releases, theatre productions, fusion foods, alcohol (beer or vodka), techdom, running/biking on trails, kayaking, and high profile events (SXSW, ACL, F1, etc. etc.), Austin has something locally developed for you ... I'd rather keep it on the dl, but the secret's out anyway ...
