I bought a Retron 2 today which plays NES and SNES games. I think my dad donated all of my old ones when I was young, but I'm going to see if he still has any of my old crap. To start off though, I did buy Mario 3 and Contra.

It's been awhile and I am terrible at both of these games.

I've been playing a lot of NBA 2k17 on PC (with a controller).

I've managed to run FiFA 2002 on modern CPU using DxWnd. The game is a stuttery mess at 30-40 fps though with flags and crowds moving at rocket speed and occasional game breaking glitches.

But atleast it runs now.

FiFA world cup 2002 on the other hand, runs better. But FPS is staying at 50-60 and there are stutters. Thanks to DxWnd again (FiFA world cup 2002 worked outta the box in windows 7, but so far crashes on match startup in Windows 10).

In real life your move of trading all your picks for a team that doesn't have a high ceiling would get crucified. That team on paper would struggle to get to the playoffs or get bounced in the first rounds. Trading picks is usually a good idea if you need that extra guy to challenge for the championship.

Or trading picks is smart if you can get a top 10 player.

But this is a video game so I guess if you play on novice you can win with any team.

My advice is for you to play with random teams (sure start up a GM game even) and to just get better in general. Get good at scoring and defending with all kind of players (dribblers, shooters, bigs).

I don't know why you'd start the hardest way which is starting a new franchise. You didn't even start in the offseason where you could have signed free agent players like Horford with your large cap space.

I like Middleton alot. I often trade for him because his combo of shooting and defence.

Drummond is a stud at his position because of his physical ability.

Dunn is good but he's years away from reaching his potential. I did play with him once though and he played above his overall rating IMO. Not sure about Johnson.

Actually the team has 3 good starting players so that's not too bad. I don't know about your bench but that might not matter if you play short quarters. I play full game (12 min quarters )

I guess a tip I have is that there are a few good players you can get as free agents. I don't know if you'll enjoy them.

Stephenson has a decent game all around. Nate Robinson is good for his speed and dribbling. Thomas Robinson is decent and has great rebounding. sh*t and there's a point guard that's youngish around 24 and has a rating like 72 that overperforms for me. I forgot his name. I usually get these players every game because they're good bench players. Fyi you may need to release one of your crap players to sign someone because of roster number limits.

As far as economics it can get quite complicated but it tries to copy real life so you can read up on the NBA for that.

I do notice in the offseason you can get alot of free agents if you fill their green bar to the top(a bar you'll see when you offer them contracts).

Here's the cheapest strategy I know to get a good team in a year:
Trade all your good players for young players with potential or preferably draft picks. Keep your pick. Ensure all your non-young guys are on expiring deals (1 year of contract left). Finish the season, you'll probably be one of the last teams in the standings and will get to draft a good player in the offseason. In the offseason sign as many good free agent players as you can with all the cap space you have. Then you can trade your picks and young players to fill out your roster.

But I don't know how much satisfaction you get from a game like that. I prefer playing with average teams.

Regens - I'm not sure about the quality too much. They try to reproduce what the nba does - a bunch of players and they get picked through the draft so the best ones go first. You'll have the ability to choose between players that are good now vs have more potential later.

I think you can do an expansion draft later in the game by adding a new expansion team.

I'm playing NBA 2k17 career mode with Jesus Shuttlesworth from the Spike Lee joint He Got Game. I naturally based him on Ray Allen and he went to college at Uconn. I didn't get too far in the season yet. He was drafted by the Denver Nuggets, which I wasn't very excited about. It's not really fun to immediately force a trade. The amount of games in a NBA season is also a little intimidating.

On top of that I created a retro NBA trading card for Jesus.

Which I also did for my NFL star Quiver Quackenbush.

God, my dad had cards in those sets when he was growing up. Both seem mid-early 70s.

Yeah, they're Topps cards from the late 60's/early 70's. The Quackenbush card was originally a Larry Csonka card and the Jesus card was originally an Alex English card. They were so much cooler back then (although I never collected any of them, only Panini stickers as a kid).

I collected them as a kid, but never really had anything cool. Finding that box of Late 60s/Early 70s Topps NFL and NBA cards in my grandparents' basement was pretty amazing though.

I'm obsessed with this game called Bloodborne, but it's not easy. It's intense and most boss fights are a bitch. I'm trying to finish it then download the DLC.

Also got to 3rd division in Fifa seasons. The competiton is much tougher but for some reason I struggled more in 9th or 8th division.

Bloodborne is definitely a challenging game, but it's known for its rewarding gameplay and eerie atmosphere. Those boss fights can be tough, but overcoming them is a huge achievement. Downloading the DLC will add even more excitement to your Bloodborne experience.
FIFA Seasons can be quite competitive, and it's interesting how the divisions can affect your gameplay. Sometimes, the higher divisions bring out the best in us, even if it's more challenging.

I think a lot of it is the 360 and the series generation. We all know the 360 completely demolished the ps3 in this market, and for a long time, the ps5 was just not available (Sony stopped shipping to Singapore for basically 10 months) and a lot of people bought series consoles.

Given that the xbox one/ps4 generation was the least popular gen by far, it makes a lot of sense.9apps
