YES!! PES 4 on Xbox LIVE!

Mike69, despite the fact that it comes from an Xbox related site, still nothing in the article that officially confirms WE8:I on Xbox.

Of course, what else can "multiple-consoles" mean, right?

But I'm still waiting for an official Konami U.S. press release stating WE8 will get Xbox treatment -- and I don't doubt that'll happen soon, probably after PES4 is launched on Live.

More confirmation for any doubters:

PES4 'definitely' playable on Xbox Live - sources
by Tom Bramwell

Having discovered an Xbox Live button in the Game Stars Live build of Pro Evolution Soccer 4 earlier this week, Eurogamer has been told by various insiders that the Xbox version of the famous football title will "definitely" be playable online - although we're still waiting to find out whether more than two players will be able to compete at a time.

Konami has yet to officially confirm or deny Xbox Live support, despite including an Xbox Live button in its Game Stars Live build of the game (which, for the record, does look exactly like the photographed Xbox booth floating around forums and mailing lists at the moment), but we understand from sources close to the publisher that an announcement is now imminent.

However, the PS2 version of the game will almost certainly not support online play - or PS2 Online in any regard. The word circulating at the moment is that the PS2 version was submitted to Sony this August barely a couple of weeks after Winning Eleven 8 shipped in Japan - something that Konami will neither confirm or deny - and does not include any online gameplay functionality.

The fate of the PC version, meanwhile, is more difficult to comment on. The PC version was not at Game Stars Live from what we saw, and Konami has yet to comment on the version's networking support.

Pro Evolution Soccer 4 is due out on PS2, Xbox and PC early this October.

Are you talking ADSL ? Maybe you can try cable, which is also broadband...
NONE! :(

There is no cable here underground because it is a new estate , well about 3 years old and ever since Telstra went private they take shortcuts (it used to be a government owned company) and they put the RIM, Pair Gain system up instead of using fibre optic cables for telephone lines because it would be cheaper and quicker.

But because of that I cannot get ADSL because it needs Fibre Optic.

Whats worse? I didn't want to move house, I had cable at my old house bout 2minutes down the road and had it for bout 2 years.

:(

One other thing.

I am still doubtful about online play on the Xbox.

Look at the screenshot and it has a few errors from Fernandos English Patch for WE8, and it has a Winning Eleven 8 logo in the corner, not a PES logo.

And don't the squares for the other game modes look a bit dodgy?

No, at the Gamestars Live it's identical. I too thought it was an error, but they put all the item-words in capitals and only the word 'or' in low-case, because it doesn't belong to any item (either 'Play An Exhibition Match' or 'Penalties'). So no errors here.
Also the assumed WE-logo is really there on the version overthere. The icon-squares are just not aligned because the game is only 70% complete.

I feel sorry for you not to have broadband... do you use a telephone-modem?
