Hmm I'll wait for some reviews on how PES4 is on the Xbox (controls and all...) but it looks like I might have to buy an Xbox again (I had one but sold it cos I needed the cash). Good job they have been reduced quite a bit in price.

Yeah phil, you told us that yesterday...maybe you can put it in your sig so you don't have to keep saying it :p

But like you, I think I'll also wait to hear more feedback first, just in case.

And thanks for the info about the converter for the PS2 controller, Han. I thought I'd heard there was such a thing so it's good to know it's true.

Yes, we have seen these pictures :)
There is a rumour that they are fake, looking at how the icons are ordered. Also people think this is made from the fernando-patch acording to the typical error in 'Play An Exhibition Match'
That should be low-case.
So probably it's a joke :)

Has no-one at these trade shows thought to ask if PES4 PC will have Online play?? It's the most obvious thing to ask surely!

Even if the PC version does not have Online play though, the code will probably be buried somewhere that will enable some PC genius to get it working. Like the GTA Multiplayer patch for example. Also, it would not be because Konami couldn't do it, but because Microsoft tied them down to an exclusive deal. This bodes well for genius coders who should be able to work their magic on the game to get it working online somehow.

Konami always wanted a good gaming-network and that's what they only get on LIVE without making their only network.
Probably they develope their own network in the next year with PES 5 PC being the first to use that....

You have got to be kidding me right? What's wrong with the TCP/IP protocol stack? Seriously Han, the only reason it would ONLY be on the LIVE network is that Konami have sold their souls and signed away an exclusivity contract with Microsoft. If this is the case, I for one would be extremely disappointed, especially given that much of the world doesn't have access to this "good gaming-network".

That's real world for ya.
No access, no playing. Simple as that.

Thank you M$ for motivating KONAMI to bring the game online.

The black and white are used to adjust your ingame strategy ie. counter attack, defense press, normal attack, centre attack, fb overlap etc and also to increase/reduce your defense/attack bias.

Ala ps2.

Right Analog stick - Faint, "Deke", Dribble
Left Analog stick - Move player

Perfect for the S controller or the Microcon Controller which is only a little bit bigger than the PS2 controller

ITs called an exclusive deal. its the same way that GTA: SA is only being released for the PS2 at the moment. it will probably be online for the PC next year. The fact of the matter is that MS knows that if they could get this exclusive deal it will boost sales in Europe and especially in Japan were WE is massive

An exclusive deal by MS for LIVE would not surprise me. It's exactly the kind of thing they would do. But no worries - the code will be hidden in there somewhere, just waiting for some genius to unlock and tweak, and i doubt it will be too long before a patch is released that will enable PC users to play online.:D

Are you saying that because you played it? If so, what is the feint button (R2 on PS2)? I thought it would be one of the white or black buttons.

Maybe you should replace my 'good gaming network' with 'secure gaming network' ... that's all I have to add :)

I took that frm another forum and it seems that the skill moves have been channeled to right analog stick movement but it seems that you might me able to change it too

Get real. X-Box are dirt cheap. So is LIVE. Get a job. Lay off cigaretes. Do something...

X-Box is the way to go.

Dream on! A genious programmer woulda written his own online source code if he really was that smart... . ;)

No, I really I'm thankful to M$ for comin foward with the proposition to bring the game online on their platform. If they didn't, KONAMI on their own woulda waited till we9 or even later to include online, slowasses..

The infrastructure will be there for someone to be able to perhaps create an online patch. This was perfectly possible with GTA for this reason, so no reason why it would not be with PES4. Obviously 2 entirely different games, but the principle is the same. I fully expect this to happen sometime in the near future if the PC version has no online play. You cannot possibly discount it. The difference between writing online source code from scratch and taking something that is already there and modifying it is HUGE - they are 2 entirely different things.

just to play PES4 online
plus some people already own a ps2, why should they buy an xbox too:kader:
