I maybe wrong but you can't get a LIVE account in Europe unless you're in Europe.

The US starter kit only lets you choose either US or Canada and you gotta enter all your info + the cc stuff to verify it so...

The US version should hit the stores in either January or Februrary and till then you'll have tons of awesome LIVE games to hold you over.

this is what I thought...thanks jumbo

or...maybe also buy European starter kit and maybe it would work, doubtful though, then it seems the only way to verify would be to buy all that...and could be a waste of money in the end:(

Han, bottom line...

Nice work by you.

Thank you :)
And for the hardcore not-believers ( ;) ) I just read this at EVO-WEB:
For what its worth, my mate just phoned me from gamestars after having a look at PEs4 on Xbox, and it does indeed have a Live option, and when selected gives you the option of Exhibition or Pen Kicks.

How are the buttons configured? Xbox controllers do have only two shoulder-buttons...?

Han, great work breaking this news -- you big pain in Konami's arse!;)

We in the U.S. -- again -- have to wait patiently, but what a significant development in the history of the series.

Konami's starting to do some things right.

PS2 controllers are near perfection in my book, so playing the series with Xbox controllers will require some adapting to and practice obviously. Won't be a big deal, though.

PS2 diehards that -- reluctantly -- check out Xbox for the first time as a result of this news will likely find that they really like the platform. And the newer S-controllers ain't even all that bad.

Don't worry, you don't have to admit it to anyone.

Paco, I'm more interested in if there's an adapter so I can play on an Xbox with my PS2 controller. Do you know if such a device is available?

I agree that the PS2 controller is near perfection. I've played on my mates xbox a few times and I just don't like the controller at all. In fact, it really lets the machine down.

there definitely is an adapter that allows one to play xbox with a PS2 controller. I've never used it -- I'm sure someone else has and they can review it. Don't have a link handy but will try and dig it up, although it should be available widely through the gaming retailers' sites.

P.S.

Q: Number of PES/WE cool goals one can save on Xbox WITHOUT a memory card?

A: A whole hell of a lot!
