It f***ing sucks that here in North America we can't play WE9 on the 360 despite it being the same game as PES5 which Europe can play on it's 360s.

Now we have a situation where we have to wait another full year before WE10 hits here before we have a version we can play on the 360. FFS, we still havent even got WE9 for the PC yet!!!!!

I don't thinks so. WE sells more in Japan and worldwide then PES gets in Europe etc. I believe its because WE is released first before PES.

probably sells about 20 copies in canada/us combined. :amika:

Yes

how can be a north american version and not an south american version?

In North America almost dont play soccer, and the South American's have the mayor world champions in clubs and national teams.

For Example:

Brasil (5) + Argentina (2) + Uruguay (2) = 9 South American World Cups

Germany (3) + Italy (3) + England (1) + France (1) = 8 European World Cups

If an South American version of PES/WE is Ready i will be the first to buy it. :jambo:

So North America, Africa and the rest of Europe (other than the 4 teams from Europe that have actually won a world cup) does't matter then? Wow, I mean no country from Asia has ever won the world cup so perhaps Konami shouldn't bother with Japan either!!!

Weakest argument on this forum ever.

Konami sell the game where is best selling, thats the real argument. My other argument is the passional. ;)

But the other European country's still have some leagues or at least some clubs in PES5 like Holland and Clubs like Porto, etc, south america only have caopolo (Sao Paulo non licensed) :nape: why? i know why becouse the money.

And in Nationals Clubs:

Intercontinental Cups:

South America 22 vs Europe 21 and the new 2005 "World Club Cup Toyota Cup" was won by Sao Paulo (Brasil) :ewan:

I wonder what other new features on WE 10...

[Please, include all the WC 32 finalists & expansion of NT.] Bring back Jamaica & UEA, Konami ! :(

My theory: There's Konami Japan, Konami Europe, Konami N. America. When they branch out to S. America we will probably see "Ganando Once Trece Internacionales"... Or not :mexican:

You are insane if you think S.A are dominating football. Sure they have great worldwide known talents but can be easily beaten. Turkey almost owned Brazil as I can remember a year or two ago.

I don't think S.A teams will go far this World Cup as Europe is getting stronger each day..

Another thing is.. Brazil, Argentina are somewhat poor countries and players don't get paid bullcrap thats why the majority of them play for Europe :) so junior do your homework first, start learning how to write english and then you can make a positive statement.

Another thing..bring 1 billion of people and try to fit them in one stadium ask them which team they would like to see play A.C Milan or Boca Juniors or any European team.

So hush :jambo:

where you from?

Im only based on stadistics, South America have the best Football Clubs, National Teams and Players of the world right now. We dont have the best leagues, (after Spain, Italy, England or Germany) because the players leave the country's otherwise also may have the best leagues of the world.

And yes, i dont write english lenguage very well, but i like to see you writing in spanish. :)

See ya! :ewan:

PS: And im not a junior i almost start editing soccer games since FIFA 99' before this forum even exist.

PS2: Sorry for the offtopic, come back to the WE10 Thing.

SO back to the topic, how come no news has come out anywhere besides PESInsight and the play-asia website? What are the changes? It looks to be only adding new teams, an indoor arena and some minor graphical changes.

this discussion doesn't get anywhere, since it's not even related to konami.

konami makes games based on markets where it can SELL a game. i'm from argentina and i'm pretty sure 0.1% of the ppl that play games around buy original games, the same could be said about many other countries here in S.A.

about the "football dominance" topic that got started around here, i don't think there is such thing. every team can lose to anyone any given day, that's how football is nowadays. S.A. isn't dominating for winning 1 more world cup, but neither are S.A. teams easy to beat as johan said.
pointing out one game (the brazil-turkey game) is a pretty weak link. applying that logic, USA would not be the best basketball nation in the world since their national team didn't win the last 2 major international tournaments. that's of course bogus.

I don't know what football are you watching my friend but I don't even know any clubs from S.A because nobody really cares about them.

And why the heck would I wanna write or speak Spanish when English is the #1 language in the world.

Sony delays PlayStation 3 launch
--------------------------------

The release of the much awaited PlayStation 3 (PS3) games console has been postponed until November, Japanese electronics group Sony has announced.

Technical hitches related to the console's Blu-ray disc drive had forced the delay, Sony said.

Sony games chief Ken Kutaragi said they were still finalising agreements on disc copy protection technology.

Sony had been aiming for a spring launch for the successor to best-selling PlayStation 2.

The news was announced at a hastily-convened news conference, after reports of a delay appeared in the Nihon Keizai Shimbun, Japan's main financial daily newspaper.

The reports had triggered a 1.8% drop in Sony's shares to 5,470 yen ($46.56; £26.67) on the Tokyo market.

The PS3 is one of three new gaming consoles promising cutting edge processing and graphical power.

Sony has said the console will ship with a 60 GB hard drive and will play games created for both the PlayStation 1 and 2 at higher resolutions than the original. No potential price was given for the console.

It will compete with Microsoft's Xbox 360, which went on sale late last year in the US, and Nintendo's Revolution, which is due later this year.

Worldwide release
-----------------
So far Sony has dominated the market for home consoles, with its original PlayStation and PlayStation 2 having sold more than 200 million units.

It had originally planned to release its new machine in the spring. But instead it is now talking of a November release in Japan, the US and Europe simultaneously.

In the past, Sony has staggered the launch of new consoles, with Europe coming a belated third.

"We are absolutely delighted that we will be able to bring PS3 to gamers in Europe and Australia before Christmas," said David Reeves, head of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.

"This is an exciting first for Europe, and is a huge endorsement and vote of confidence in the strength of the European market and its importance globally."

The delay means Sony's machine will not be in the shops in the US and Japan until a year after the Xbox 360, giving Microsoft a valuable lead in building up its market share.

A problem with the launch of the console could be a major setback for the company which is struggling to revive the performance of its consumer electronics division.

In an effort to revive its fortunes the firm has undergone a major restructuring drive involving 10,000 job cuts and 11 factory closures.

Sony's performance in the $25bn games industry is set to be one of the key factors determining the success of the firm's turnaround this year.
