).hmmm...could that be Che Fu? He used to be in a band called Supergroove, some of their stuff is pretty cool, should be able to find it on the net somewhere. They had a really good song called Scorpio Girls

Can I add another. Yesterday I did some jamming with a friend of mine. He plays superbly guitar and has some lovely pedals. He completely stunned me when he tried out his delay-pedal and played along with U2's "In the name of love". It sounded superb. So that song is on high rotation as well now. My guitar playing is nothing compared to his'. I'm still stuck with Foo Fighters' Next Year, Green Day's "When I come around" and "Good Riddance" and many more power/barre chord based songs. All easy chord songs. But practice makes perfect right?

hehehe OMC I think the guy called himself. But no I havn't actually heard that song in ages. The NZ bands being hyped at the moment are The Datsuns (who are actually ok) and Pacifier, formerly known as 'Shihad' but they have had to change their name because the American record company exec's felt Shihad sounded too much like 'jihad'
Man I never liked most of the top 40 stuff and am redisovering how bad some of that 90's pap was - mmmbop by Hanson; I'm too Sexy by those English guys etc...:-puke:

i hate malmsteen so much! he just thinks he is the best guitar player around the world, damn arrogant. and everybody who tries to play in his band got some problems with him.
he has skill and speed, without any feeling. his albums, with the exception of the debut "rising force", are just records of hundreds of super-fast licks, hammer-ons, pull-offs, tappings, etc etc without any feeling.
last time he played in brazil he got some serious problems with the crowd.
i hate him as much as i hate man poo btw most of his fans are kinda "closed mind" in their opinions about music... (got some friends that are... dunno if your friend is...)

Malmsteen is terrible. Oooh, I'm so impressed at how quick he can play the guitar , it's music not a speed contest. I hate that guys 'music'.
Right, Rhizome, you've got to stop reminding me of bad 90s top 40 stuff. The songs just get into my head and I can't get rid of them, terrible. Try going through a day with mmmbop :-puke: in your head. Hanson had a frickin' horse playing the guitar. Yesterday I had 'All that I want' in my head all day. Today it's f-ing mmmbop. 
Trying not to think of any others, arghhh, it's East17 now!!! It's like standing in a corner and trying not to think of an orange penguin.
At least I've got 'Accross the Universe' as my subconscious (sp?) song for the day. Don't know how it got there though, I haven't heard that song for about a year now?! Anyone else get this happen to them sometimes?

No no, he's just using it to practice speed and agility for his fingers........he thinks it's sh!t aswell
