What do you do if your country doesnt make it to the World Cup?

I think I would seriously cry!!! Heck Im gonna cry if we dont reach the final!
So many Euro countries are close to not making it, I wonder if any of you would boycott the whole event? How do you watch it?



And would you rather have your team win the league, or your country win the World Cup. Im getting the impression that alot of people think club over country (which makes no sense to me), so I was just wondering.

country over club no doubt about it. thanks to our retard manager brian kerr its lookin as if i'll be goin to germany watchin other teams play, which is disappointing. i was planning to follow them all the way, we should have won our group!!!! :mad: :hit:

it would be bad but hey. Club over country any day. England dont even come close. Just dont like most of the squad, arrogant and overpaid

ide rather scotland won the world cup than aberdeen won the SPL. but ide probably prefer aberdeen won the champions league to scotland winning the world cup!!

I couldn't care less. Lativa has only reached to a major tournament once anyway, sure I was a bit excited, but that was about it. I hardly go to the home games nowdays... England, well, I have roots there too, but I never felt like English, I just want to see United players do well for their NT-s and thats it. I always follow the World Cup though, I never support a team there, but the feeling around the tournament is something special...

well I'd watch it and hope that my least favourite nationas get knocked out as soon as possible and be rooting for some underdog team.

i'm portuguese so i was used to watch the world cups without my country unfortunately, but i watched them closely like if we were there, i love this big tournaments. lately we made all the big tournaments (except 98) so they give me an extra felling, i'm always anxious for our games :D

about club vs country topic i support both 50-50 but if you ask me if for example i would prefer see Benfica winning the CL or Portugal world champion maybe i would choose Benfica.

I would always prefer to see Portugal win the World Cup than Sporting win the CL...because...maybe it is the only games we see a "Benfiquista" and a "Sportingista" share the moments for the same team...=)

Damn...I just can't see Portugal not going to the WC. We only need 1 point against Lichenstein (Sp?) and Latvia...we play both at home...

I would prefer my country to QUALIFY for the World Cup over my club team winning the Libertadores or Champions Leauge. I think country is all about pride, and clubs are all about money, so I dont really get as hung up on it as I do my country. Of course Im usually set with Brasil, but whenever I watch a club team, I NEVER (no matter what game it is) get cold hands and a raised blood pressure. My club team never has made me run outside in the streets with a flag like my country.

I think the "4 years until the next tournament" is such a killer for me. If we dont qualify thats 4 years with another "world champion"! I almost died in 98 so repeating that is not something Id like to do.

Club over country....... World Cup is OVERRATED... and i hate the fact that A LOT of brazilians who cant make it to thier national team go overseas to play for other NATIONAL teams.... THATS CHEATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you dont see Colombia with any Brazilian Flare in it(same goes for all those africans like Vieria playing for france).i gave up on international football a long time ago... plus 4 times a year to see them play for a month is just gay and its just to make $$$$$$$$.....

Id rather see Arsenal MIRACULOUSLY win the CL.........
